Hey there!

After 6 visits to Disney World and 3 to Disneyland, we are thinking more and more about becoming members of DVC.

I tried to get some information on the disney website and I was a bit disappointed to read that since I live in the province of Quebec, they are not allowed to give me information about membership.

Now, does this mean that I can't buy a membership?

Thanks in advance!

pretty sure you can buy onsite or by resale. it just limits how disney can advertise.

it's a good idea to do a lot of homework yourself before buying in anyway.

I live in Montreal, and own DVC.

As a Canadian, you need to buy onsite if you want to buy directly from Disney. They are not allowed to complete the transaction by phone, or mail.

If you buy resale (as I did), there is no such restriction.

If you want to discuss the resale process, or DVC in general, just let me know. En français ou en anglais :)

PM DougEMG. I believe he is from Canada and he has multiple contracts. Very nice, he can probably give you some advice.

I had the same problem when looking into DVC in 2011. When Disney refused to talk to me, I tried googling more information and wound up on the website of The Timeshare Store. After a one hour conversation with Jerry who explained all the details, I ended up buying resale and saving a lot of money!!

Thank you so much everyone!

I'm glad to see fellow Montreal people that are members of DVC!

I'll sure do my homeworks before buying anything!
