Do you know anyone living there yet? Are you that person?!;)

It is a really nice community, but Orlando isn't my choice of residence.:rolleyes1

I don't know anyone living there but if they want an extra houseguest I'll be happy to fill that spot. ;)

Here is an article about 2 upcoming residents, it states one couple was to move in in January and I've noticed most of WDW.com's ticket and other info has been updated to include the verbiage "Golden Oaks resident" for things like EMH, etc so I'm assuming it's open for business.

OMG. :cloud9:
How cool to have 5 years of PAP's for 5 people, door to park transportation, access to EMH.

I think you could spend the 1.4 million starting price and get a lot less elsewhere. ;)

I bought a few to use for storage.

And I won that One More Disney Day contest a few times.

Actually in all seriousness, I hope DIS gets more One Disney Day winners than there are prizes.

As much as I would love to live in WDW, I would not spend $1.4m for a half acre of land next to a hotel.

I would certainly love to be in a position to spend $1.4m (and more) for a half acre of land next to a hotel if I so desired.

To mickeyfanfl - I did some research on this last year and I'm curious - did you get your first choice of lot?

Which is totally your opinion. All I'm saying is there are other places to get a much greater chunk of land and build your own home for the same price.

And, of course, you could spend that amount of money for a cute little condo, depending on location! ;)

Truth! Developers are trying to turn my town into a cookie-cutter community by selling detached condos at extremely inflated prices. :sad2:

Anyways, where people choose to live all comes down to personal preference. It would be great to live at Disney. But, I would rather have an acre or two to myself and build from that. Disney is my getaway and I would be afraid that after living there and dealing with constant tourists, it would not be as fun for me anymore.

Your post is better suited to this board :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
