Living in Disney's Golden Oaks Community Yet?

It is a really nice community, but Orlando isn't my choice of residence.

I don't know anyone living there but if they want an extra houseguest I'll be happy to fill that spot.

Here is an article about 2 upcoming residents, it states one couple was to move in in January and I've noticed most of WDW.com's ticket and other info has been updated to include the verbiage "Golden Oaks resident" for things like EMH, etc so I'm assuming it's open for business.

That's great which style did you get? I'd have a hard time choosing but I'm only a couple mil short of having to make that choice anyway.

How cool to have 5 years of PAP's for 5 people, door to park transportation, access to EMH.

I think you could spend the 1.4 million starting price and get a lot less elsewhere.

Which is totally your opinion. All I'm saying is there are other places to get a much greater chunk of land and build your own home for the same price.

Truth! Developers are trying to turn my town into a cookie-cutter community by selling detached condos at extremely inflated prices.

Anyways, where people choose to live all comes down to personal preference. It would be great to live at Disney. But, I would rather have an acre or two to myself and build from that. Disney is my getaway and I would be afraid that after living there and dealing with constant tourists, it would not be as fun for me anymore.
