I know you're kidding, but I really tried. The terminal blocked my view of the port side. I thought of paying the $24 admission to the Intrepid to get up on her deck for a better view, but I still wouldn't have gotten the unobstructed view I got of her starboard side.



I can see I'm already in trouble come cruise time.

Btw, not sure if anybody got the reference and I'm just showing my age, but my references of Captain Stubing and Gopher were to a 70s show called The Love Boat

Been busy booking our WDW trip before our B2B cruise ... and looking into heading to DL shortly after we return home ... a lot of to plan for!

Anyhoo ... I'm afraid I'll be "dating" myself also when I admit that I watched the Love Boat back in the day ... our honeymoon cruise was with Princess as a matter of fact!

Just watched the Fantasy set off from Port Canaveral, boy she sure is beautiful!! I can't believe we are less than 7 months out now! Not that I want to wish my favorite season away (summer) but I do hope September gets here quick!!!!

7 months sounds a lot better than 203 days or 4,872 hours ... give or take a day or two

Sadly DH and I have decided to cancel our cruise for now and go to WDW during FD instead. We are having a LOT of trouble with our DD3 with potty training (constipation, diarrhea, rinse, repeat!) and we just don't want to spend that much money for a trip and have her not be able to swim or go to the kids club...she is definitely too old for the nursery. Hopefully, we can reschedule our cruise for either next year or the one after. Hope you all have an amazing time!!

Hello again everyone! I've been absent for a few months and now so much has changed I'll fill in the google form as soon as I find our cabin number in my email...There's 4 of us going so far (Me, DH, DS (7, almost 8) and my sister in her own spinster aunt cabin), and we're trying to convince my mom and dad to come too, but they're dragging their feet on booking. We're in for the FE exchange...if you need any help organizing it give me a shout

I'm loving all the pictures we got from the christening, I can't wait to board. I think the new water area looks really cool and will hopefully take some of the pressure off of the pools. So many new areas to see I'm trying to figure out where to hang out for a drink before dinner, we usually went to the Promenade Lounge...but I don't really see an alternative on the deck plan. I'm sure something will present itself soon.

Hi all! I am going to say goodbye to this cruise meet b/c we were able to snag 2 VGT rooms on the 5/26/12 sailing. It will fall on DDs 13th bday! After the increase in OBC it is only costing us $400 more total for the 2 rooms and now we are getting verandahs instead of oceanviews!

Well, I was on rearranging flights and rental cars and hotels, and thought I should check back in.

So much has changed! We're dropping like flies!

Gopher, I filled out the form again, before I caught that you said you already have all of the previous information. So ignore that.

I can participate in SM, too, if there is a list for that.

I'm getting so excited to start preparing for FEs. I'm already scoping out some ideas! I love FEEs!!! (not to be confused with fees, I dislike those!)

I've got to make hotel reservations too. Our flight doesn't get in until 11:30pm Friday night so I think we're going to stay at the Hyatt and get a car to pick us up in the morning. Wonder if the Hyatt is on Hotwire right now...that would be a good way to lower the cost

We're all set with our flights and pre and post-cruise plans. We get in late Thursday night and are staying at the Boardwalk pre-cruise. After we get off the ship, we go back to the Boardwalk until the 9th. Got to get in some time at the F&W Festival.

Tania, I've never used hotwire or any of the others. You'll have to give me a crash course. The best price I've found is by getting the Hyatt gift certificate, which supposedly includes taxes. It's $145 + $6 S&H, so $151 total. Otherwise it's $152 + about $20 in taxes. I haven't ordered the certificate yet. I think you have to call the hotel first to make sure the date is available to use one.

Cute pics Wendy! Love the pirate outfits. I think our flight gets in about 6:30Friday night. Our daughter (TrojanJulez) and family are taking a redeye and will arrive about 6:30 Sat morning. Then they may crash in our room for a few hours, unless the get some sleep on the plane. We're taking DCL transfers to the ship.

Every once in a while there will be a thread saying that the Hyatt is one of the hotels on there and to look for XYZ amenities. I haven't gotten that far, tbh, and in the end I'll probably wind up paying full price

There are sites that at least give you an educated guess, based on the parameters, which hotel it will be. Check out betterbidding.com. There's a lot of discussion on this on Cruise Critic under Florida departures.

Opinion time. With Michelle leaving us, she started the thread and now the first post cannot be changed. Does it pay to start a new thread so that I can own and update the first post, but lose the history of discussion or just keep posting updates inline?
