Sorry to see some people go :( ... and pixiedust: to those going through some rough times ...

:rainbow:

And Greetings to those who have recently joined ... :welcome: ... It is coming down to crunch time ... only two weeks left before we head off to WDW :hyper:

Received our Port Orleans Riverside room package details and tickets for MNSSHP in the mail ... plus Halloween Horror Night tickets at Universal ... finalized our limo and auto rental reservations and scooter rental for DW ... exchanged Can $$ for US $$ which is almost at par @ 1.003 :goodvibes ... bought our fourth piece of luggage (yes, we are bringing FOUR pieces of luggage :headache: ) ... received our FE in the mail :yay: ... reservations confirmed for Fantasmic and Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage ... and I haven't talked about the cruises yet  ... Remy and Palo Brunch on the first cruise and Palo Dinner on the second cruise ... and so on and so on

Things yet to do ... our cruise documentation (guess it takes longer to get them up here in Canada) yet to arrive ... had to order two more luggage tags for the Magical Express (hope they arrive in time) ... finalize and package all our FE's and incorporate all the updates ... packing of course ...

Was hoping to get a Cabana on CC (yes, I am that delusional :rolleyes1) but none avail on both cruises. But that will be offset by the special shore excursion I planned for DW and I (which will occur on the Eastern Itinerary) where I booked an excursion on St. Thomas (called the "007 Helicopter Private Island Escape") where via helicopter ... After a 10 minute flight you will have crossed the short stretch of Atlantic Ocean that divides St Thomas, from the uninhabited island of Hans Lollick, where you will find one of the most spectacular white sand beaches reserved just for you.:beach: ... I think this will be the highlight of our trip and a perfect way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary ... just DW and I alone on a tropical island in the Caribbean  ... bringing our own snorkel gear, picnic lunch ... :cloud9:

Barring any unforseen circumstances including my DW's health, it's almost time to get this party rockin' :cool1: ... :rockband:

BTW ... did anyone receive an email from Disney with the following message ...

Is this new?? Just filled it out today and see what happens ...

HI

Where in Alberta are you from? I'm from British Columbia but moved to North Carolina about 12 years ago. We just got back from a month long visit there.

Angie

We are so excited, look what came today. Anyone interested in some, they are $1.00 each and I will have them with me on the ship.

I would love 3 of the bracelets. Let me know when and where to meet up with you. And THANKS

Just to update everyone we still do not have our cabin number. As soon as I get it I will post it.

Just wondering is there much of a chance for pin trading on the cruise? My son enjoys trading pins.

I plan to be at the meet on Saturday. If I don't see you there, I plan to carry some with me so I can get rid of them all. LOL :lmao:

My girls have done pin trading in the past on the Magic. I assume they still do it, but it has been 3 years.

They look terrific! We can't wait to get them! (We'd like 4, please.) Thanks for ordering them! :cheer2:

Our kids are avid pin traders, so we plan on bringing some of our pins along. On the cruises we've been on before, the amount of pin trading has varied wildly. Sometimes the cast members outside the buffet (the ones handing out the hand wipes) would all wear lanyards and trade pins; at other times there has been no trading at all (I think as a preventative health measure). I think on every cruise we've been on they've at least had one "official" pin trading event, where all the ships' officers come stand in a row with lanyards and pins to trade, and dozens of cruisers show up with their pins and pin madness ensues. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

For those of you DISers who have pin traders in the family, if you want to share which characters you look for, we'll try to bring along pins with those characters. :goodvibes

We do have a FE for each room. I have found on past cruises it works out much better for all involved.
If you don't mind me asking, what is the breakdown of people in each cabin?

Lori I would like 4 bracelets for my family. I got confirmation for the chocolate factory tour in cozumel. Definitely counting down!!!

Onboard Dis Meet and Group Photo:
Dis Meet is embarkation day Saturday 9/29 at 3PM.
Location: Vista Cafe and adjacent area on Deck 4 overlooking the Atrium lobby. You can purchase drinks at this location and they have free pastries.
Photo: Group photo immediately following the meet at 3:30PM on the Staircase and Atrium lobby.

I just wanted to repeat this information. The one question I had was how do we do the group photo? Assuming we want want of the CMs to take it, how do we arrange that?

I made some updates to the list, including removing those who sadly cannot make it.

Speak to you all on Wednesday!

Well we're all packed for tomorrow and nervously keeping an eye on Leslie.

Bon Voyage :wave2: ... see you on the ship :yay:

We know an Angie ... at first I thought that little she-devil didn't tell us she was coming along ... :lmao:

We are from the Edmonton area ... and last week we just got back from a 5-day holiday in Vancouver :teleport: !!!

Was there a final decision as to when and where the meet would be?

I'm originally from the East Kootenays but lived in Vancouver for 10 years before moving to NC.

Back up about four or five posts

We are getting so excited....3 weeks until we fly to Florida!

Couple of quick questions for experienced cruisers.

1. Do the staterooms have irons? I thought not but my wife has a co-worker who just got back from her Disney cruise (I think it was the Fantasy) and she said they did have iron.

2. How well do the in-stateroom air conditioners work? I know we'll have control of our own temp but do they really drop the temp down if you like to sleep cool (19-year Alaska resident :) )?

3. Is there a grocery store/Walmart close to the port where we can pick up bottled water and/or other items we might desire?

Thanks!

I'm onboard the Magic and realize how comfortable I am getting around it scares the heck out of me that I'll have to get used to a whole new layout on the Fantasy.

Lori, I think my two kids would love those. Can you save 2 for us? Will you have them at the meeting on embarkation day?

Thanks!

:rotfl2: Think of the Fantasy as going on a new adventure! Bon voyage!!! Have a great time!

Karen I don't know how to post a link from my kindle but you can tootle chocolate factory in cozumel and their website comes up. Email them and they will schedule a tour. Adults are $10 and kids under 12 are free. We plan on doing it early buying some chocolate and then going back to the ship.
