So excited to have found this post! We just switched from a 3 day to this 7 day on the Fantasy and we couldn't be more excited! We have done Disney World twice in the past and we wanted to try something a little different. We had planned on doing WDW for 3 nts and then the 3 nt cruise on the Dream but...last minute (sort of) we decided to change things up.

So, to introduce ourselves to the group - my husband and I (Casey (35) and Cameron (37) have been married for 13 yrs. We were highschool sweethearts and will have been together for 20 YEARS in September! Yeah, crazy, I know!

Our kids:

Alex (11) is going into jr high this year, plays hockey for Wyandotte Warriors, loves dogs, popcorn and all things Disney

Abby Kate (turns 9 in Sept) going into 4th grade, 1st yr cheering for Wyandotte Indians - Freshman, loves animals (wants to be a vet for Disney's Animal Kingdom someday), loves AG dolls & her My Disney Doll - and all things Disney.

The other two:
We have 2 GIANT dogs Moses (Lab) and Rufus (English Mastiff) that will be staying home with our incredible baby-sitter/housesitter.

That's us! We're really looking forward to this vacation - it'll be our first time cruising and we're doing it right - DISNEY!!!

Lucky you trickiwoo !!!! I'm still waiting for my 6B GTY to change to an actual cabin number !!!!

magicimaginear, I'm on standby along with you (6B here). I've read on DIS that some are 45 days out and STILL have no formal assignment ! I thought perhaps it had something to do with whether we were paid in full or not---but there really is no pattern on the GTY rooms

We booked a 7A (Navigator's Verandah), and we got a 7A. So no upgrade. We did get an undersized verandah instead of an obscured view verandah. And our verandah is TINY! Here's a photo I found (it's of the Dream, but I'm assuming the Fantasy is the same)

We're fine with it though! We figure it's enough room for the 2 of us! And we're very happy with the location! We're Deck 5 Aft, so we're right above Europa... which is where we were planning on spending quite a bit of time there... especially at night right before bed! So it will be very convenient to get back to our room!

I've been checking the prices and it's only a few extra bucks to upgrade to a higher deck...and a couple hundred to get one of the big balcony cabins on deck 5. Decisions decisions.

We are in 5192 which is right next to you. Our stateroom door is all the way on the other side of the hall. But our balcony is next to yours. My daughter and son-in-in law's stateroom is 5190, right next to mine. Only 96 more days!!

trickiwoo....did you know ahead of time you ran the risk of getting such a tiny verandah ? I almost booked a Nav Verandah too. But the page expired while I was browsing and when I signed in 5 min later it was gone ! I recalled seeing Nav verandahs on the Magic and Wonder. But nothing that looked like this. However, if they pre-warned you about it, then I guess it's ok.
I am a 6B and pretty much know I'll be on deck 5, 6 or 7 and all the way AFT because our cat states "whitewall" verandah---so I'm prepared to not get a plexiglass/clear one and we're ok with that. However, I hope I won't get a tiny verandah ???? Nowhere does it state this and I would be unahppy I feel---for the money I'm paying---if that happened. Anyone know anything about the whitewall verandah 6B cat cabins ?

Less than 100 days now! I am twiddling my thumbs until July 1, when we get to book everything!

I don't think we've discussed a cutoff date. Does anybody have any suggestions what that should be? How much time do you need pre-cruise to get all your FE stuff in order?

Hi gometros...I resubmitted my info using the new link. I am interested in the FE though I've never done it and not 100% sure what it is. From the little I know, it looks fun. We are traveling with friends of ours (non DIS'ers), so I wasn't sure if they'd want to link up with you my DIS friends. I'll ask them about it though. Our kids are older (teens to mid 20's) and can't go because of college schedules. But we are way excited to having a couples-only cruise !

How about 30 days out for FE? That way if you are ordering something, there will be plenty of time to get it in before the trip.

well it's been a rough 6 weeks for us! my dd mary caroline was born 5/4/12 with histiocytosis so we weren't sure of what was going on, wasn't thinking we would still make the cruise, but she is doing great right now. her skin only is being effected right now and i got the opportunity to bring her to the #1 dr in the world that deals with this awful disease. and he gave me the ok to plan our trip so i will be updating what we are celebrating! we're not only celebrating my oldest dd's 7th bday but also my youngest dd's first 4 months of life. we've been told by a few drs that 4 months is a milestone with this disease, after 4 months with no reaccurences the chances of it not coming back are greater and after a year it is most likely not to come back at all! so we shd prob be thinking about our taking our 2nd cruise for her 1yr bday celebration!

Glad to hear that your baby is doing better. My granddaugter, Elizabeth, was born on 5/9/12. My other granddaugter, Allie, just turned 7 today. Allie will be so happy to meet other kids her age!!

Welcome Aboard. My name is Michelle. I am traveling with DH, DD(11-now) and DD(7-now). We were on the MR but things didn't work out so we moved our deposit abd OBC over to this cruise. We are excited as we wanted to go on a new ship but not on a 3/4 nighter. Wanted to book this cruise before the selection of rooms went down and prices go up! Can't wait for more to join! TTFN
