Live stream discussion - Disney Treasure reveal 11am EST today!

I think they have more built in time since they now know the original timeline was simply way too short... some things like the Uncharted game took months and months to get going even beyond missing signs, maps, holes in the walls, cancelling basic things like a manicure in Hooks' because the basin hadn't arrived yet, etc.

Yes. AND they have had the full time to work on the Treasure unlike when COVID hit during the building of the Wish. And also supply chain issues are resolving following COVID - it might not have been Disney/Meyer Weft's fault about the basin. The backlog for many building materials and appliances during COVID was wild. My apartment fridge started to go out and my landlord ended up getting a slightly dented floor model so I'd have something because it was going to be 6 months to get a new one.

Even if some building was able to go on, getting materials and some furnishings was impacted by COVID.

My dad owns a hardware store and it was hard to get supplies at time

The Wish also got delayed about a month. We had two b2b booked a few weeks after the original maiden voyage. All got cancelled and the new maiden started on the day we were supposed to finally get off. We are enjoying two long cruises this year with the discount we got for being cancelled.

Ours was cancelled too, but we did enjoy 50% off the 11-night Northern Europe Dream cruise this past August.

I'm really on the fence with the Treasure - I was not impressed with the Wish, but I also prefer longer sailings so I can settle in and really enjoy the ship. Perhaps a 7 night on a sister ship would be more enjoyable. Did anyone notice they mentioned a "promenade" in the grand reveal video? I'm assuming it will have a promenade unlike the Wish? I need to go check the deck plan!

It has the same promenade deck as the Wish.
We were just on the Wish and had a lovely walk on the promenade all along the starboard side, around the front, and all the way back to aft. There were a couple sets of stairs so it is not a handicap accessible promenade, but it is a promenade. Like it better than the Fantasy where you have to go through a weird area with a bunch of pipes and no views to move between the two sides of the ship.

I'm not going to start the promenade deck fight again, I was just replying to someone who thought the promenade deck on the Treasure might be different than the Wish.

Yeah my bad, was really meaning to reply to the previous poster who said the Wish did not have a promenade deck.

Right, but DCL is calling it the "maiden voyage," and it will be the first sailing with paying guests. I've heard from guests that were on the Wish MV that noted there were things that still needed "shaking out," and the Wish also had some preview cruises (though I think some got cancelled because the Wish was delayed).
We were on the 3rd paid sailing and they were still shaking things out...

I was legit confused when they went out on the deck 4 promenade in the reveal video (I know any non-artist rendering shots were done on the Wish) - I was under the impression from the way people talk about it that there was actually NO promenade deck on the Wish (not just that it was different) 😆

I don’t think you are the only one—it was totally empty whenever we went. Played shuffleboard, and there were gorgeous panoramic sunset views at the front of the ship. We didn’t have a verandah this cruise so it was where we went to look at the ocean for a bit each day.

Yes, I could not believe they actually made a point about the promenade deck when there are no changes! We really enjoyed our 50% off the 11 night Med cruise. We usually cruise ocean view or inside and got one of the extra large aft verandas. It was Magical! We will enjoy our other 50% discount on our 3rd Panama Canal cruise in 2 adjoining ocean view rooms. Some day we will sail on the Wish. She is very pretty, but we enjoy the layout of the two original ships the best.
