Live Report: Roving Reporter in Orlando Oct 27-31 [Update: Photos Added]

Here a final thought on my trip. One week ago I posted this...

October 26: You know I've done solo-trips a fair amount with having to travel for work, but for some reason I'm not so excited about this one. I really wish I could have my girls (all 3 of them: DD8 pooh: DD11 princess: and DW) with me on this one. I'm feeling the need to have my loved ones close to me right now. I think it has something to do with this mental funk I've been in.

I had been in a real mental funk before the trip. My wife had received some bad news regarding her job, and a friend of ours was recently diagnosed with lung and brain cancer (she's our age and otherwise incredibly healthy). I definitely was not looking forward to leaving my family, and I knew it would be hard for DW to be solo with the kids for nearly a week.

However, I will say that the trip really helped clear my head, and break me out of my negative mindset. The conference I went to was productive, and I had some fun going to Universal and EPCOT. As the week went on, my mood and attitude continued to improve, and capped off with a great day on Friday at EPCOT with my friends Teresa and Walter.

Thanks for following along everyone.

Welcome back Dave...Glad you made it home for Halloween! The girls look great in their costumes.

Thanks for the pictures and report. See you at DAP!!! :cool1:
Thanks Aaron, can't wait to see you again at DAP!

Your mood changed as you were posting Dave :) Glad you shared :goodvibes

Will any of your family be able to join you for DAP?

BTW...Great trip report...I'll trade the 100 cal organic ginger snaps for a Kit Kat and two Snickers!
