Here a final thought on my trip. One week ago I posted this...
I had been in a real mental funk before the trip. My wife had received some bad news regarding her job, and a friend of ours was recently diagnosed with lung and brain cancer (she's our age and otherwise incredibly healthy). I definitely was not looking forward to leaving my family, and I knew it would be hard for DW to be solo with the kids for nearly a week.
However, I will say that the trip really helped clear my head, and break me out of my negative mindset. The conference I went to was productive, and I had some fun going to Universal and EPCOT. As the week went on, my mood and attitude continued to improve, and capped off with a great day on Friday at EPCOT with my friends Teresa and Walter.
Thanks for following along everyone.
October 26: You know I've done solo-trips a fair amount with having to travel for work, but for some reason I'm not so excited about this one. I really wish I could have my girls (all 3 of them: DD8DD11
and DW) with me on this one. I'm feeling the need to have my loved ones close to me right now. I think it has something to do with this mental funk I've been in.
