Hi,
Arrived here on Sunday checked into a 1BR at 11am....Room ready at 12:30:cool1: We came from BWV and we lucked out with a great room there as well....also ready at 12:30.

Great view of the lake(through the trees). I could see the higher part of the halloween fireworks last night from my balcony:love:

I just love this place....Funny thing this is my 1st trip home and I LOVE WLV.

I'll continue on another post.....the internet here goes off if you post to long or something.

Where was I....OH.....I LOVE the WL.

This place just feels soooo peaceful and relaxing....it really feels like home. I have tried them all except AKV and Vero/HH....and I'm so happy this is my home resort.

They are working on the 2nd floor and it is quiet for the most part.....haven't heard much noise.

Room is in Excellent condition....in fact the carpet and drapes and such look brand new....so I don't know if this room is party renovated or not. I still have the old sofa bed style.....pull out from the top...but it has a bar on the side.

Great day at M.K....off to the pool now and then to Boma's. We had dinner at Narcosee's last night and it was delicious.
Later:goodvibes

So glad you are enjoying your stay at VWL. We are going to stay there in March and I am looking forward to it. We usually stay over at BCV or BWVs, so this will be different. My kids like going to MK for most of our trip, so this will put us closer. I love the rustic look too.

Have you gone to their counter service place yet? What is it like? Is there seating there? This is one reason we wanted to try staying there. I like having a counter service place to grab a quick bite or something to drink.

Roaring Fork is the name of the counter service place and it is a good one. There is a separate seating section as well as some outside patio seating. It has a pretty good selection of food for a counter service place. The "make when you order" sandwiches and salads are really good! :thumbsup2

And do NOT miss their cupcakes. They are the best dessert at WDW! I kid you not. Sure, they are just yellow cake with frosting and sprinkles, but they are to-die-for! Yum.

Thanks! I am SO glad they have a counter service place! It is nice to send the kids over to get something to eat when DH and I just don't feel like going (they are teenagers).

I can't wait for our stay in March. The resort looks so beautiful!

You will love WLV....I've almost tried them all and it is my favorite for sure. I think you will love WLV:goodvibes The CS is very good.....and I'm happy to report that you can get a chili or a soup for your dessert with the DDP. Last time I was here you could not do that. I'd rather have a soup than dessert.

Those cupcakes are HUGE....and yummy:yay:

Glad to hear you are having a great time.

Looking forward to being there ourselves in a few weeks :)

Glad to hear you are enjoying VWL. We are sorta partial to it ourselves:thumbsup2

Our DGC liked the "decorate your own cookie" activity that they have many afternoons, right in the seating area of Roaring Forks.

I love VWL, and I'm glad you're enjoying your visit.

Let us know how Ohana was. We love that place. Enjoy!

What are your thoughts on the crowds currently?

We were at MK yesterday and it seemed unseasonably crowded. 60 minute waits and long lines in October seemed very unusual to us.

Do you normally go to WDW in October? Are the crowd levels normal to you?

Ohana was great....food was delicious. Missed Lapoa?...entertainment lady.....she was on vacation.
Funny thing....I waited at the bar to pay while the family went to the table. I had the TIW card so they have to get a manager:confused: By the time I got to the table the Salad, Potstickers, veges, chicken wings and lomein were on the table already:scared1: :lmao: Actually cracked me up.....I don't remember it coming out so fast last time...Everything was fantabulous though:goodvibes Watched Wishes from the Poly beach.....home in time to see the end of the debate.
