Ok we are back, I know it is early but it has been pouring rain for 2 hours and if they still do the fireworks we can see them from the balcony, gotta love the YC. When we came in the lobby from the boat there was lifeguards opening the door for the guests and handing us all towels to dry off. Talk about service at its best!
So tonight was a night that I was very much looking forward to. We walked to Epcot and checked in at Tutto Italia early, we had 6:30 ressies but were seated at 5:45. Nice little table with a fantastic server, Giordano, he was super attentive and said that if we did not like any of the items we chose be sure to tell him and he will get us another dish at no charge...my mouth hit the floor...never had that said to me before!
Gorgeous restaurant, the place was semi full, lots of large round empty tables in the middle but around 6 they were full with people.
First course was a little bowl of veggies, so fresh I swear you picked them from the "garden" in the Land

Asparagus (wow it was so fresh) string beans, carrots, celery, huge radish slice, one big green olive and one HUGE black olive (both had pits in them) and grape tomatoes (all the other veggies were 2 of each except the olives). What a fantastic start to this amazing meal, like I said before the veggies were just so dang fresh tasting I would have loved more!
There was a beautiful bread basket with crunchy breadsticks, a large flat piece of pizza dough that was dried into a cracker (it tasted just like a pizza crust), a few slices of a crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside bread and a few slices of a nice soft bread, great for dipping in the amazing olive oil. There was also my favorite item ever, basil and cheese infused butter....WOWZA it was so fantastic and I am glad that DH doesnt like basil because it was mine, all mine and I wasnt sharing!

(The pic of the basil butter is next to the veggies in the picture above)
I ordered the mozzarella and tomato salad drizzled with basil infused oil...it was so good I licked the plate!
DH ordered the pasta fagiole, it was good, great flavor and the macaroni was very tender and even had a bite to it...I hate mushy pasta in my soups. He used the rest of the bread to clean the plate!
I ordered the bucatini pasta with pancetta and fresh peas in a parmesan cream sauce. It was the best Italian thing ever! They baked it a bit so it had a nice toasty flavor to it, the sauce was a bet loose in the beginning but set rather quickly, the peas were so fresh tasting they added alot of flavor and the pasta was cooked perfectly. DH was eyeballing it

so I had to turn the dish over to him for a bit so he can experience and savor the flavor! It is not a super heavy dish at all but it is a tad on the rich side.
DH ordered the tagliatelle, egg noodles with bolognese...it was a tad misleading because he thought he was going to get a red meat sauce but instead it was more like a strogenoff sauce...which he loves. The noodles were so melt in your mouth tender, you can tell it is fresh pasta and not frozen or god forbid DRIED! There was a ton of meat in this dish and we both loved it alot. DH eyes were getting huge with every bite of all the food we had here...he told me to put it down for our October trip..hope they are still open then. Give this place a try, it is out of this world and I can easily see it being the most sought after ADR next to Le Cellier.
Total price with the DDE was $84.72. They did not add the tip so I had to add it in. This is the only place that did not automatically add the 18% tip in.
The desserts didnt wow my DH and I was pretty full so we skipped it and took a stroll to Norway in the misty rain. By the time we made it over there DH was ready for a coffee and some dessert. For less than the cost of one dessert at Tutto DH ordered a coffee, rice cream and school bread. I was not in there with him, I went to go get a table so I didnt know he was going to order 2 desserts!

I was still full from dinner but who can turn down either one of these sweet treats?
The rice cream is sweet and fruit and creamy and wonderful...I duplicate it somewhat at home with Cozy Shack rice pudding and Birds Eye frozen strawberries. Close but nothing taste as good as the real thing.
School bread is the greatest thing since I dont know what. Such a light sweet roll filled with the lightest of air slightly sweet cream and covered in a not too sweet white icing and smothered in coconut....omigod it was the best ever and we got a huge kick out of the kids next to us that thought we were eating all that yellow butter..they thought the cream was straight butter!
Tomorrow morning brings us to our favorite Cape May, will it still be the number one breakfast joint or will it pass its torch to Boma? Lunch is who knows what and dinner was supposed to be at the Captains Grill but DH spied the Mexico menu tonight (newer than online) and we were able to get a table there for tomorrow night. I was nervous because of all the negative reviews here online but the place was packed and all the other new restaurants we tried were great so we are going to give it a shot. Stay tuned guys and have a great night and thanks so much for reading!
