time to shut down the computer..

we leave tomorrow...

everything is packed and ready to go....just putting the finishing touches on my cheat sheet ..

this trip is a little different....it's just me and DH, DD and DSIL this time..
DS and DDIL couldn't come as she's a teacher and already begins working next week...

we'll be at WDW for 4 days....
then on a 7 day cruise to the eastern caribbean.
then back to WDW for 2 days...
then to detroit for 4 days, for my nephew's wedding..
then the next morning, hopping onto an early flight to get us to new york and then onto the next flight to get us back home (a day later)...

and that's it...not nearly enough time in WDW, but it's better than nothing!!

and i can't wait for the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

see you all on the other side...

i don't think i'll do a live trip report ....i rarely do any sort of trip report, so live seems completely out of the question..

but maybe i'll pop in from time to time :)

have fun all!!

Beth, it seems to have arrived so quickly!! Have a safe trip and a really great time :goodvibes Hopefully you will be able to post some updates /photos when you get back :)

thanks Lee! :)
the taxi actually comes tonight at 9, but i'm shutting everything down now - turning off the gas, unplugging the computers and tvs (even though they're all plugged into surge protectors, i still do it every time :confused3 ), now i have the rest of the day to rest - maybe i'll go back to sleep, since i never manage to sleep on the plane (something about sitting in a 2 inch by 2 inch space i find less than conducive to sleeping....can't imagine why

our flight to new york takes 13 hours....then 3 hours in new york to clear passport/customs/change terminals/go through security again/board the plane -
this is the first time we're flying jet blue down to orlando......i'll let you know how they compare to delta on the US domestic side of things..
the flight to orlando is 2.5 hours i think....claim our bags, rent the car, drive to WDW...
so how much time is that? plus travel time to the airport here, plus the mandatory 3 hours prior to the flight..

so that's 1 + 3 + 13 + 3 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 25 hours....not that bad at all...
DD traveled for 36 hours last year to get to alaska, so it could be a lot worse!!! :)

of course that 25 hours should be added to all day today for the total number of hours i'll be awake....
let's not think about that because at the end of the longest day almost ever, i get to see MICKEY!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

so it's all good!!

i was supposed to take part in the magic band/ fastpass + test - i have now received 8 emails telling me that i've been picked....
i guess they're annoyed i haven't done it..
but when i called Disney IT, they told me NOT to do it because we're using the same UK ticket for two different arrivals (since there's a cruise in the middle)...
they said they're not sure what will happen and best to not take part this time around....
so no advance FPs for us...

it's ok, i haven't planned this trip at all as i've spent all my time planning the 7 day cruise.... (scheduling the shows, excursions etc)....
i wanted to be as familiar as possible with the ship so as not to be completely overwhelmed (which i am sure will happen anyway - it's one ginormous ship ).....
i sent in a request for the webcam sailaway, but never got a response, so i don't know if we'll be on the webcam or not...

we sail out of fort lauderdale...
and that's a first for us too....on the morning of the cruise, we'll drive down from orlando to fort lauderdale...
i guess i really do need to write up a report afterwards, since we're doing sort of unusual stuff this time..

this is our first time on royal caribbean...well...DH and my first time..
DD and DSIL were on Royal caribbean last summer - on their alaska cruise..
she said it was great and just as good as DCL....in fact she now says she's "loyal to royal" "and DCL" .....
i'll let you know how they compare for me....of course, 6,000 passengers.... hmmm....well...we shall see...

i am really really really really really really excited about this cruise..
i have been wanting to cruise on the allure of the seas for quite a while
ever since i read a trip report here on the dis....
i'll find the link so you can be enticed too ;)

have a great time :)

Hope you have a fantastic time & look forward to hearing all about it :thumbsup2

We were going to spend the evening at Epcot but we were too exhausted so ate at earl of sandwich and went to sleep

Gaston in new fantasyland is a hysterical character

The new bathroom where the skyway used to be near small world is gorgeous.
It's the tangled area
Really cute
Worth checking out

Another great day today

got to AK before opening

Saw everything at AK except for conservation station
Had excellent lunch at yak & yeti
Left at 5:30 - right then was the first rain of the day
Ran through rain to car, then drove to Epcot
Rain over by time we got to Epcot
Walked onto spaceship earth
Then to new test track which we really liked
Then to rose and crown for 7:15 ressie
Only seated at 8 but got great table in front most line in middle
Service was outstanding and food was even better than we remembered
I thought it was much better than yak & yeti
