Marti/Steamboat Marti, the b'day girl

Photopass Pictures

This trip was planned to celebrate Marti's B'day. We arrived yesterday afternoon to MCO from NY and GA. I went to Chick-Fil-A to meet Marti. She told me that she had met someone for lunch. I walked up to the wrong table thinking she had just been friendly again. Well, she tells me to look at the other table. There sits our friend, Marci, from TX!!!! They had totally planned the surprise for me and invited her to join us. I burst into tears and was shaking. It was awesome!

So,now the cast includes Marci/Marcij from TX!

We got our rental car from National and headed to the outlets to buy Disney souvenirs for our kids. Then we checked into the BCV (Marti owns DVC). The room is lovely and we overlook the quiet pool and a little river. There was a huge basket from the Disney Florist for Marti from Marci with food, a Mickey cutting board, and a bottle of wine.

We changed and drove over to MGM. The park was DEAD!!! We got Marti a b'day button from GR. We took lots of pictures and rode R&R. It was Marci's first time. We got to sit on the 1st 2 rows since it was Marti's b'day.

After R&R we went to 50's PT for dinner. We are on the DDP for this trip. I had shrimp cocktail, fried chicken, and a chocolate shake. Marti had the onion rings, meatloaf, and a choc shake. Marci had the ceasar salad, fried chicken, and the chocolate brownie. We got all the desserts to go as I had ordered a cake for Marti's b'day. It was chocolate cake, choc mousse filling, and choc buttercream icing. YUMMY! It was an 8" cake, and there was a ton left over. We sliced it up and shared it with all the tables around us.

We walked around after dinner as the park was closed and shopped some more. It was FREEZING (low 40's). brrr for Florida. Came back to the room and there was *another* deliver from Disney Florist. There was a gorgeous flower arrangement in a Mickey vase from Marci's husband. Too sweet! We drank the bottle of wine, stayed up talking.

Too fun!!! I hope that today is just as wonderful!

Hi triplefigs! I can't believe you are there and doing a trip report when I have been reading your threads about getiing ready to go for so long. Thanks so much for telling us the parks are dead. Is it still really slow? How long are the waits? How was the party last night? We are leaving today at 3:15 and flying out first thing tomorrow morning to go to BCV. How is the resort? Are there new sofabeds? Is the pool warm? Have a great time and maybe you will see us at BVC. There are 10 of us. 4 kids and 6 adults. All the kids look just alike. Blonde hair and blue eyes. A bunch of girls are doing a girls weekend in Sept. so I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. I will check this thread right before we leave to see if you have posted again. I am really anxious about the crowd levels. Thanks .

Ladies, I'm anxiously waiting for your review and pictures of the P&P party!!!

What's on the agenda today?

Whats the deal Denise, Live Report(with Blackberry in hand) and no reporting not to mention a whole day without Photopass Pictures. Enquiring minds want to know...:rotfl2:

we had a great time yesterday, but didn't get to bed until around 4am. The P&P is a BLAST and rivals the Halloween party and Hallowishes. Here's the latest photopass pics. We have over 127 now. I've taken around 400 on my camera, but probably won't upload them until we get home.

The parks are DEAD. No waits. BCV is great. We're in a Studio, and the sofa bed is very comfortable. Pools are heated to 80 degrees, but it has been really cold here, so nobody swimming.

We're off to eat at Kona and then go to Epcot for the day. BTW, Paul, my BB is not letting me on these threads as they're getting too big and it can't pull them. So no BB reports this time.
