Live from the Polynesian (April 27 to May 6)...ALOOOOOHAAAA!

So, we are back from our walk to the Grand Floridian and I have to say boy is it HOT! I mean we went from 23F to 91F today, which is amazing, but a little bit of a shock.

The flight down was pretty good. We ended up leaving and arriving ahead of schedule which is always good! We rented a car from Alamo and ended up with an Impala.

We are in Tahiti which was one of our requests so YAY! The room is really clean.

For Lunch/Dinner:
- Pulled Pork Sandwich with Asian Slaw
- Pork Nachoes
- Nesquick Chocolate Milk
- Sprite
- Pineapple/Vanilla Dole Whip

We went to Captain Cook's for a meal because by the time we checked into our room we were all really hungry. After dinner we went up to Samoa Snacks to get some treats for the night, yay for treats!

We then went to go get an old park ticket exchanged for a new one, and then we went for a walk to the Grand Floridian. I have to say, on the walk we saw two cranes: one at the Grand Floridian and one at the Magic Kingdom. Regardless it was a nice walk but we tired ourselves out from the heat! (hahaha).

Tomorrow we are going to Kona Cafe for breakfast and then Epcot. For lunch it will be Sunshine Seasons and who knows what will happen for dinner.

My iPod is just charging right now so I will post pictures in a little bit. As far as construction goes at the Polynesian I do not see any. Will have to take a closer look tomorrow!

Did you say Pork Nachos?! Is that new to Captain Cook's? I don't recall ever seeing those before. I hope you consider doing a dining report!

What floor are you on in Tahiti? Please post a pic of your view. Most importantly, keep having fun!

I will be at the Poly in one month, so reading your live report will feed my Poly addiction until I can be there again! :)

I'm not sure if those pictures are showing up as being the same one...

The Nachoes are new, they were alright, but not as good as I thought they would be.

This is so exciting! Can't wait to read every detail! When I look at those Poly pictures, I can hear the music (in my head)!

Welcome to all the newcomers!

To all those going soon, have a fabulous time! to all those who may not be going soon, I hope this trip report will make you smile!

Make sure you go and visit Auntie. She is the best. Are you happy with your room location ? do you have a view of MK or monorail ? or is it your basic standard garden view ?

kinggoofy we are very happy with our room location. We like to be away from the Great Ceremonial House just because it means exercise and the grounds here are so beautiful. It is just the basic standard garden view room. We have always had a great view in these rooms except for the time when we were overlooking the parking lot in Rapa Nui. We will have to keep an Ed out for Auntie, I think I have only seen her once before.

Good morning!

I know it's really early, but I always find it hard to sleep the first night here. Too much excitement I am sure.

My mom and I are going to go For our walk to the Grand Floridian soon. This is where I get to take great pictures hopefully of the sunrise.

Speaking of pictures, I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I am using my iPodmTouch and it does not have flash or any kind of light adjustment. When I get home I will upload the better quality pictures.

So excited for Kona Cafe this morning. I am not a big eater, and sadly I am a very picky eater. I think I may just have fruit salad with potatoes. It doesn't sound like much but it's Epcot today so there is lots to eat there!

Pictures look great. I really think I am gonna surprise my DW and switch to the POLY for our August trip. I think that would be a nice Mothers Day gift:love:

I think Auntie teaches Hula dancing lessons on Saturday mornings down in the main lobby. Maybe 10am or so. She is the best. We took a picture with her in 08 and it hangs on our living room wall.

We always make it a point to stop and say hello when we are in Disney. AND she remembes us.

Have a great day !!
