First day at sea. I don't know if any other DISers got an internet account. Internet cafe has been pretty empty when I've been here.

Boarding was terrible. Disney hasn't figured out how to board a cruise ship here on the west coast without getting people mad. I'll post more later.

Got to meet other DISers on ship yesterday afternoon. Nice to know some faces as I'm wandering about the ship.

Just finished up our character breakfast. Got a lot of good pictures with Minnie and Mickey.

These time zone shifts are tough on someone from the West coast who likes to sleep in. We have some people in our party from Hawaii and the time zone shifts are really rough on them.

More later.

We miss the ship! Have a wonderful time! We sure did!! :sunny: How is the weather?

love all these "live" threads! am enjoying every word of it!! thanx for sharing! :flower:

I hope you enjoy your cruise. Here's some pixie dust...... :wizard:
I hope you have great weather, great times and lots of fun!

We'll be getting on, when you get off!

Just curious..........what time did you sail? What time did your docs say you would sail? What time was your lifeboat drill?

Can you tell those of us boarding soon what movies are playing? My son is hoping for Charley and the Choc Factory

Have a blast!

Shoot, this is pissing me off. I can't post on this board without losing my login and everything I typed. I get the feeling cookies are forced to expire in 5 minutes or less. I need to verify this. I just lost a long post answering all your questions. Let me try posting more short little posts.

Movies they are showing on this cruise:

Howl's Moving Castle
Racing Stripes
The Incredibles
National Treasure
Ice Princess
Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy
Pirates of the Carribean
The Pacifier
Taxi
A Lot Like Love
Finding Nemo
Herbie Fully Loaded (!)

My boys and I arrived at port at around 9:30. (driven here by my dad who hates to be late) Anyway, we were in the first boarding group. According to Pineapple, things got bad later. But for us, boarding was very smooth. We were in Topsiders eating by 1230. We sailed right about 5 - 5:15. It's cloudy and cool today but I think it will warm up this afternoon. I haven't seen my boys since they took off soon after getting up this morning.

I went to Mass this morning. There is a priest traveling on board and he was nice enough to go through DCL and get a place and time scheduled for us. It was listed in the Navigator since he arranged things ahead of time.

Otherwise, everything is the same as what others have posted. We went to Welcome Aboard show last night and my boys really enjoyed the ventriloquist.

I'll try to post more later.

How much does internet access cost on the ship?

Scott
For the 7 day cruise it is $89.95 for the unlimited package or 75¢ a minute.

Safety drill for us was at 4:00. Also we got to the port early 10:00 and had no problems boarding. We were group 4.

I also lost a long post on board because I went back out of my post to see what questions were asked by the disers, and lost it. Had to start over.

What did you do from 9:30 until boarding time?
Can 1 person arrive early to get your groups (4 cabins) boarding number, or does your whole group have to be there to get it? (we live near the port)
Thanks
Jill

Actually, the time went very quickly. We wandered around, looked at the ship, listened to the music. I was afraid that my boys would be bored stiff waiting all that time, but it went fast. I think one person could check you in and then the whole group come back later. Only one person is allowed to go up to the window to register anyway.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn San Pedro and their van brought us over about 10:30. We were in boarding group 2. We had 2 cabins and I checked in both of them. We were on board by 12:30 and done with lunch in Parrot Cay by 1:15 & at the Mickey Pool with a cocktail in hand by 1:30!!!!! Woo Hoo!!

I'm in Cove Cafe now . . . ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . :)

How was the Holiday Inn at San Pedro? I booked our group of 9 there for the night before our 7/17 cruise also. They have a Park & Cruise package, did you guys drive and leave your car there? How early did you call & reserve the shuttle? I was told to call the morning before we arrive to get on the list.

You sound like you are having a great time ..thanks for sharing it with us!

We were at the Ports O' Call Restaurant yesterday and we saw you leaving (I had the whole family make a surprise stop to eat there before heading to LAX).

I will post a picture when I get them.

Have a magical trip!

Just returned from the June 18th cruise. Hope all of you have great weather and as "magical" a trip as we all did. Sending "pixie dust your way"

Hope you'll are having a great time. We have 4 more weeks until we leave on our cruise. I am very curious about the weather and how to pack for it. How cool is it getting at night and what type of jacket should we bring.
Thanks for the help!
