Have a MAGICal time and smooth sailing!!! :sunny:

Just drove down to San Pedro to see the Magic - so beautiful. In 3 weeks - we will also be on board. :bounce:

Thanks Desiree for starting a live report thread. :flower:

OUr family will also be onboard in three weeks on the same sailing as Aloha Tee. Keep the reports coming. Something to read in the next few weeks. One question? How is the oceans. Is there any rocking motion. I had heard from another DIS that at points they had some rought seas. Hopefully your sailing days and clear and smooth, but let us know.

Thx for sharing your trip with us!! Please let us know about the weather if you can.....we're boarding next Saturday!!! Best wishes for smooth sailing!!!!! :sunny:

Hi there!

We are off to Puerto Vallarta! Ok..we won't arrive for a few days but we are on our way. The seas are not to bad. You can definitely feel the boat moving but nothing to cause discomfort. We arrived at 9:15 this morning and were in group 2. We were loaded with groups 1 and 3 at the same time about 11:45am. Since we couldn't go straight to our room, we went to Parrot Cay for lunch. It was a nice buffet and a relaxing lunch. We then changed a reservation in Palo, booked the Rainforest in the Spa, and checked out the Lab for our daughter. Tip: It said to watch for when to get your tickets for the bridge tour. We went up to guest services about 3:30 pm and asked and were given the tickets. The tours are in P.V. and Mazatlan at 2, 2:30 and 3pm. We are going on Monday at 2:00. We then relaxed in our room until the boat drill which was quick and then back to the room until we left San Pedro about 5:15. Dinner was 6 which was really delicious! DD8 is off to the lab and we are now roaming the boat!

We are having our Dis Meet tomorrow at 11:30am.

If you have any questions..let me know and I will try and find the answer for you!

Hi Desiree!
Thank you for posting your live reports! Looking forward to them.
Can we bring our own drink containers and fill em up with sodas on Deck 9?
Thought I'd read somewhere that we're supposed to use the cups there instead? If so, then do those cups have lids?

Thanks. Jinny

Thanks for posting live! It's even better since I met you last month. Nice to put a face with words!

Note....yes they do have lids for the drinks on the deck 9 beverage station!

thank you for the updates! it's really nice of you to take the time out of your vacation to keep us updated! we love reading!!! have a great time!! :flower:

Thanks for the post....what time were you able to go to your cabin? When did your luggage arrive?

Thanks again!!
Lisa

Hello!

Yes..you can bring your own mugs for the drinks. I have a lot of insulated mugs from the resorts/Wonder so I brought them on for each of us. No problems. It held more then the cups provided. They do have lids.

My DD8 won't leave the lab. I managed to get her out for 15 minutes at 10 p.m. to brush her teeth and wash her face before bringing her back down. I told her I will pick her up about 11:30 and she advised me that they close at midnight! I advised her that I will pick her up at 11:30 and got an "aww Mom!" I am secretly starting to think she has hit her teenage years.

My sister and I went to the Rain Forest tonight about 9:00p.m. It is absolutely wonderful! So relaxing. We had the place to ourselves. We paid for the week long pass. I am not having any other treatments in the Spa on the trip but my husband started his cruise with a full body massage right after the boat drill today. He said it was great! I opted to spend my money on the internet and the Rain Forest. Not disappointed so far. There are lockers in the spa so I simply carried my bathing suit in. I was handed a basket with a robe. I changed and went to the Rain Forest. There are lots of towels and places to hang your robe. There is a central area to sit on heated loungers (the best) I thought I was going to fall asleep in there. Off of the main room are 3 steam rooms. One is hot hot hot! It is a Eucalyptus room. There is a gentler "rose" fragrance steam room and then a dry steam (almost like a suana) room. There is mud on a table to coat yourself in (I didn't but my sister did) and then showers to shower off.

The seas are calm tonight so far. They are pretty much a gentle rocking type.

Our dining rotation is PLA so I am excited as we will be in Luminere's for formal night and Parrot Cay for Pirate Night.

One other thing. I dropped of my pillowcase today at guest services. They said it will be ready Friday night for me and returned to my stateroom. You can request any characters that you would like.

That's pretty much it for me tonight. Off to wander for a bit before picking up the DD and then off to bed. We move our clocks ahead one hour tonight.

We were able to get into our cabin at 2 pm and we had all of our luggage by 3:15pm but we were also one of the first at the port so I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. They announced at 6:30 that the had finished distributing the luggage.

It was nice meeting you! And I appreciate you bringing me a Navigator. It helped a lot. It was different then our cruise but the activities are similar at similar times.

What time does the lab first open for the kids? Did you have to wait in a line to get the kids "registered" first? Read on another thread that even though the kids were registered online, they still had to wait in line and register again?
Thanks for responding so soon about the beverage station cups.

Thx Desiree for all your great tips!!

The Rainforest is the best kept secret on the ship! It's basically a beautiful room filled with saunas and heated stone loungers and water fountains....you can get a day pass or a week pass. I never knew what it was but once I won a day visit there at Bingo and could not believe how great it was (and affordable.)

Thanks for doing the live reports - I love readng them!

Have a MAGICal week ahead!

I was thinking of you guys yesterday. I said to DH well they are starting to board the ship now. They are having lifeboat drill now....

Have a great trip and take care of our ship. We will be there in less than 3 weeks now.

Desiree - How is the weather? I know in previous cruises it had been cold the first night and jackets were suggested. We cruise in 2 weeks, is it still chilly?
