And.... now we come to the present. My ds, Nick, & I took these pics as the Magic was leaving the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro - we were hoping to catch a glimpse of Karen, Katholyn, BethC & Chris and family, Penny, Tracy, Bill and other fun DISers on the cruise ...

Hey thanks for the AWESOME photos Mary Jo, especially of the ship as it left the breakwater!! How did you guys get from point A to point B so fast??

Was that banner hanging from Deck 9 or 10 a Dis Board Banner?, I did not notice it as the ship sailed by our vantage point!!

We have more, but I'll post them when I can upload them

The yellow banner is indeed a DIS banner, and there were DISers around it, too. We could barely read it from our vantage point (next to the Acapulco Restaurant), and then as soon as the ship passed us, we jumped in the car & took Pacific St. all the way to the end to the overlook they have there.

As you all may have heard the Magic has been rerouted to Manzanillo due to 15 ft waves in Cabo. Our captiain decided that with the tendering it would be too dangerous to stop. Therefore we are on another sea day and will hit Manzanillo Tuesday where we get to dock (Yeah!). Captian Tom has assured us that as we proceed further south we will smaller and smaller waves/swells. Anyway, just wanted to write since I hadn't seen anything yet. Quite possible might be something on another thread but haven't heard of any injuries although the ship was rocking and rolling from the night before. For those of you back there, maybe this will make you feel better about being on land. Right now although the swells are getting better, my stomach wishes it was back on land.

ALso, have taken lots of pixs but haven't been able to download with our laptop. If anyone has seen pixs please pm me and let me know who's doing it. Would love to learn how they did it. Wasn't sure if it was us or the system. Others seem to be having the same problem. Gotta go the line for the computers is getting long again.

I met you on our July 23 cruise. I am so glad that you are giving us your reports and I hope you have an awsome time! I was just wondering how its going to work with excursions now that you are being rerouted to Manzanillo?
Will you still be able to do excursions through DCL or is everyone on their own? My DH has been to Manzanillo and he says it is absolutely beautiful. I am sure you will have a great time no matter what you do. Keep us posted!

We have enjoyed seeing the video! My husband and I watched it last night. I watched it with my son today. The song choice was great.
Does everyone see the Pinnacle logo- or was that just me?

We would love to see the high res copy- it gets me even more excited for the 11 night cruise in Sept. 06. (You shoud go- you'll love it)

It's on the Video....The "time Lapse" feature need to be unlocked and it cost $$$. It was the only way I could show how the cruise ship did a 120 degree turn without it taking 5 mins to show it.

You are the best. We loved all of the great stuff at the port in Acapulco!!! I was glad that Jeff won the shirt on the "great shirt race" and sorry that someone stole another one. We enjoyed our time in your city, we went on the family beach break to Coco Loco and had a good time.

I had trouble too. I tried several different computers in our household too (some are newer than others). Any suggestions?

With the video, try right clicking on it and saving it to your desktop and open it there. That's what I did. Then whenever you want to see it you don't have to try to remember what page it was on, it's right there on your desktop.

Thats exactly what I did, too. Now I can watch whenever I need my Magic fix.
