See... now this is where I am technologically impaired. I thought you had to get DSL from your phone company?? Where can I go on Yahoo to figure it out.. $14.95 is great.. I would definately do it for that price!!

I know my father who lives in Btfl. wants DSL...he says that it has been advertised for pretty cheap out there- but I don't know with who.


So you get DSL, then you go to best buy and get a router- don't buy one from the provider they will charge too much. It is easy to set up and I LOVE it. I have yahoo DSL through SBC (phone co)
You can also check AOL and your cable co.

SBC is partnered w/yahoo...Qwest is partnered w/ MSN...its all about partnerships anymore....not monopolies, partnerships.....everyone is lowering the prices right now. Qwest, as far as I know, is still the only phone company that sells just DSL if you don't want a home phone...just your cell. Still WAY better than a cable modem, if the prices are anything like our cable company....$50 a month IF you have a cable package. They wanna say its faster, but unless you are downloading tons of pics (don't know anyone like that) you are at the mercy of the sites you go to, (kinda like today)...that being said, we've started offering 7M if you're within about a 1/2 mile of the office...for the price of 1.5M...its AWESOME!!! MSN downloads in about 4 minutes, instead of 10-15.....guess you found my geekiness.....sorry!!!

O.K. DPD or °O°LESLIE°O°, I did look on AOL, keyword BROADBAND, it gives a list of prices for my address. $14.95 for the slow DSL, $29.95 faster DSL and cable. You could look there.
