John, I just sent an e-mail asking if the cam could be switched to see the Magic as it approaches. Hopefully somebody is there reading all these e-mails that are coming in.

If some of the people having problems are using Firefox as your web browser, try another web browser...that was my problem. I switched to IE and it is working now. :teeth:

There is a work around for this but it takes more work to get the final shot. You will need to do a print screen, import the image into a program like paint. On most computer you need to press crtl + prnt Scrn at the same time, on other keyboards its just a single dedicated button so for example.

1) Press "Crtl" + "PRNT Scrn" keys at the same time (this captures your entire desktop)
2) Open Microsoft Paint (or your favorite photo editor)
3) Then "Crtl"+"V" Thats crtl and v at the same time (or Edit, Paste ..from the menu)
4) Save this (faster so you can get more screen captures
5) Repeat as required

1a) Once done you can open the save images, Crop out just the picture of the Magic
2a) Save the magic only cropped version

Hope that makes sense

..Bryan

Some graphics programs like paint shop pro have a button the will allow you to import a screenshot with only a click of the button. (I think photoshop does it too.) You will still have to crop the webcam. If you have different photo editing or graphics programs you may want to see if they have a similar thing. It will save a second or 2 for each screen shot.

I'm having much better luck on the other webcam - http://maps.unomaha.edu/MapDisplay/WebCam/Default.html - even though you have to manually refresh it.

Now remember, the whole point of having the webcam is for safety and monitorization of the cargo ships, it looks like there is a lot of activity today so I would say be patient. They do have to do their work according to the PA I'm sure.

Does the Panama site refresh by itself or do you have to keep hitting refresh?

I havne't ever learned how....but I did send it the minute I got it to someone who knows how.....hopefully he can can it posted....it was a SMALL pic.....but she was coming down the way.....not too close to the locks yet....

The actually PA site does refresh itself. The other one that I and others have posted you have to refresh manually. But when you do it's refreshing pretty fast.

Shari... I've had to keep refreshing... I just wish they'd change the camera so we can see her approach!
