I'm trying to view the Canal through the links posted here and it won't load. Will there only be so many people allowed to view at a time? I've been trying since 6AM.

You might not have the Java app loaded on your PC. There should be a link to download it at the bottom of the page.

Right now I have my laptop set for this thread to keep up with all the latest news, and my desktop set to view the first set of locks this morning, this is going to be another long day like in May,but it will be a fun day as well!!!!!

that's weird! I know the main page says Macromedia Flash Player 6 program is required... could it be that you don't have this program installed? If that's the case, there's a link in the main page which I believe will guide you through the steps required to download and install this program in your computer.

Mine is taking FOREVER to load also and I have the latest and greatest Java. RATS!!! I think its because we are overloading their server. ARGH!!!

It's www.pancanal.com ... click on "English"... and then on the left bar there is a link for "Live Cameras"... pick the "Miraflores Locks"

Just woke up and was laying there thinking there was something I had to do and then I remembered - the Magic is going back through the canal. If I can't be there, I want to watch. Have I missed anything yet??? And by the way, good morning to the rest of you guys who want to experience this with me. I also have coffee in hand but alas, no krispie cream.

That is me excet my coffee is Diet Coke (I like my caffine cold and with bubbles). This is much better than the trip in May when I was at work and trying to keep up with the crossing.

To all of you on board have a wonderful day, to those of you in Panama watching, we envy you; and to those of you on line -we are aforce to be reckoned with - lol. Thank you to the Panama Canal Authority for pointing the camera for us as we watch our "baby" pass thru the canal on its way HOME.
