Live from the 7/19 Magic! and Key West

Hello everyone - we've been thinking about you all and wanted to just check in. We are docked on the Magic in Key West and had a bit to login and say hello. Today we saw Hemingway's House and went to a DVC "party" for those that were onboard - over 400 DVCers are here.

We met up with some DISers yesterday afternoon before we set sail - Lancerguys, bothofus, beaniema (I can't remember her numbers), bobbiemom, disneycruiselvr (i think that's her id) and then we ran into debkay and her husband this morning.

So far it's been very hot but we hope it's gets less humid as we go.

We had planned to stop in Valdosta, GA on our way down on Thursday night but Thursday morning dh decided to call and see if they had any rooms available because we had some DVC points to use. Low and behold they did and we got in a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk so we drove the rest of the way - a bit over 14 hours. Then we had all day on Friday to go to Downtown Disney and take our time getting to Cocoa Beach to our hotel and get ready for yesterday. While at DTD we met up with a great couple - J&D!!!! Was great to meet Jennifer and Dennis.

Tomorrow is a sea day and the SPA!!!! And then on to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Today in the DVC "party" they confirmed the new stops for August, September and October 2004. They also talked a bit about the Dec 2004 cruise.

I'm a picky eater and so far the food to me is okay. Had Lumier's last night and tonight is Animator's Palate - had the Garlic Roasted Beef Tenderloin last night - was very good. Didn't care for the mashed potatoes. Elmer is our room host and Anne-Marie and I can't remember the other guy is our waitstaff - very nice. We have met up with a family from Ohio at our table last night and that was it - the others were a no show (probably went to Palo).

Gotta go cause dd wants online. Will check in later.

Thanks for the live reports - we love reading live reports. Hope you had a wonderful sunset. When we were in Key West in May it was fantastic!

OK, here are some of the movies playing this week (I'm doing this from memory, so there are likely more that are playing): Chicago, Bringing Down the House, Lizzie Maguire, Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Treasure Planet.

Don't know the bands because we aren't club people but Hollywood has been playing in several locations including the Promenade Lounge and one of the entertainers has been Dan Riley and WHAT A RIOT!!!!! He was the opening night in the Walt Disney Theater and we loved him so much we went and listened to him last night before dinner and just didn't make it to the adult one with him later last night (had to get up VERY early for excursion this morning).

Today was Grand Cayman and I was VERY worried about the tendering but it was fine. (I just didn't get how it worked). The weather and the breeze were AWESOME. We did the Nautilus Semi-Sub with dd and dh snorkeling off the sub. Was a great excursion for being our first.

Last night was formal night and was very nice. Food seems to get better each day (I'm just too picky of an eater). I had the Grilled Rib Eye last night and it was delicious along with Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie! Our rotation is LAP. Animators was great! We have great tablemates - a couple and their son from Ohio.

Gonna go play bingo so I'll check in on Thursday. Tomorrow is Cozumel and we are doing the Tulim tour on the mainland.
