Glad to hear they caught at least one person for setting the fires. Being a So. Calif. resident, I sure know what it is like to smell fire and staying in doors for a while. There have been times where my kids were not allowed to go out on the playground at school due to smoke. Lucky for me I missed the all the fire storms last Oct. I was on vacation in Phoenix when the fires hit. Called home to see how the animals were doing and my friend told me that the smoke was so thick that it was like midnight in the afternoon. My town was nestled in between two fires. Got lucky and didn't have to worry while on vacation. I hope they can have them under control soon.

Wish I had logged on, we just left OKW yesterday! I am glad the heat and humidity are down, it was brutal Sat and Sun.

We rode Toy Story Mania on Saturday morning. We loved the queue and the ride. I have about 200 pictures.

I really liked the PIXAR sign leading up to the ride.

Mr Potato Head is inside at DHS. He is really quite an amazing animatronic. The way his lips move and the things he does are great.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!! This was our first stay at OKW and we absolutely loved it. Wonderful resort. We can't wait to stay there again. Just beautiful and the rooms are huge. We were extremely impressed.

I visited my brother, who works for Pixar, and that is very much like the sign to the entrance of Pixar. It might say 'Pixar Animation Studios' but I'm not sure.

Another good day !!

We decided to have another quiet day - this is our last real WDW day. We check out of OKW tomorrow and move to Gaylord Palms for a meeting so I'll grab a rental car tomorrow morning and get things going then. I'll try to get some more Kidani photos tomorrow or Saturday and we still have dinner at CA Grille (and I'll get some more CR construction photos then) and head back home early on Sunday.

I got a call from jdvm about 8:30 this morning, so I got to ride shotgun on the purple OL van for a couple of hours. We made stops are OKW, CS and AKL delivering lockers for arriving guests. While at AKL we took a spin past the parking area closest to Kidani and took the following photos. (Click on an image for a larger view)






After that experience, DW and I headed back to DHS to see if TSMM was in soft opening. We were encouraged to see that some of the barricade had been removed, but TSMM was still not running today. We'll have to donate our FPs to someone - they are good until 5/24 from the preview on Sunday when the ride broke down and we had to be evacuated from the attraction.

We enjoyed TLM and then took a bus to SSR and walked over to DD for awhile - visiting the Christmas store, WoD and Once Upon a Toy (boy, do they have some great stuff in there! )

We then took the boat back to OKW, made a stop at Conch Flats store, and the Gurgling Suitcase (for some essential supplies ) and then headed back to our villa. We had some friends arrive at OKW this afternoon, so we enjoyed talking with them for awhile.

Now for some laundry and organizational packing before we head out in the morning.

It's been a wonderful stay and we're already looking forward to our next DVC stay - at HH in July with kids/grandkids and then back to OKW in September.

The temps were up again today - near 90 - with no clouds and a light breeze. There is a cold front moving thru tomorrow which is expected to plunge the temps into the upper 80's ( ).

After a break this afternoon, we headed back to Epcot and caught the 2nd Davy Jones show before heading to the Owners Locker winefest held in France.

There is a witty line in here about Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones' Locker, but I am not coming up with it ........

How is that cool down there in Florida? It was a chilly 55 here today in PA with rain and wind. I bet Florida was beautiful.
