Just wanted to post a few things about our stay. I don't really want to call this a trip report per se, and lock myself into regular updates. I have been working a lot of overtime the last couple months and can't remember the last time I needed a vacation this bad. So I'll post when I can. So far mostly positive things. Flight arrived at 10:30AM and DME had us at BC just after noon. On our way to check in, we met Teena, a greeter, who is also a regular on the Resorts BC Disboards thread. She was delightful and told us there were a lot of DIS'ers arriving today. Much to our surprise, our room (a 2 BR lock off) was ready. OMG, did I honestly think me & my 2 kids will need this much space? But we'll enjoy it. DD, 9, has taken over the studio completely. She is in her glory. I guess my only surprise was how small the master BR closet was compared to BWV. That closet at BWV was HUGE and this is pretty tiny. Our only room request was top floor, which we got. We are just off the elevators, facing Epcot. We have a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, so I'm sure we could catch some of Illuminations. This is really our first DVC stay where we don't have a long haul to the room. As exhausted as I've been lately, I'm thrilled. We has lunch at Hurricane Hannah's. Was disappointed my favorite sandwich (Chicken & hummus on pita) was off the menu but I decided to try a cheeseburger, which was good. We spent the afternoon at SAB - it was not super crowded and we managed to scrounge one chair to set up a home base. It was so hot you really needed to be in the pool to stay cool. We were supposed to head to MK tonight for dinner at LTT and the last night of Summer Nightastic fireworks, but I'm just beat. Sweet talked the kids into late dinner at Yachtsman instead. And on that note, I better go get ready. Love Love Love our DVC today. How did we ever deal with a lowly hotel room?

P.S. I'm going to agree with a post from a few days back who thought the carpets here at BCV could use a good cleaning. They don't look worn, just dirty.

:)Relax and enjoy! Looking forward to more when you are more rested and can fit it in.

Enjoy your vacation. BCV is my "family" favorite (when we bring kids) resort. Love to relax at SAB...take a soak around the lazy river for me:goodvibes

I love BCV. Cape May Cafe is my favorite buffet. Have a great time

Sounds like a beautiful view. I love seeing the Eifel Tower when I'm staying at BCV. Mind sharing your room # or at least your general location? I especially enjoy the woods view. Have you had any of the fruit tarts in the BCMarketplace? Mom and Dad had them there in March and they're still talking about them as the highlight of the trip. Rest and Relax during your stay. We're going in October, and it sounds as if your work schedule is like DH's. Like I told him this morning-"Remember 'after work' hours?" So hopefully BCV allows you to unwind. It always does us.

I love BCV.

I can't wait to be there again and take my refillable mug down to the Marketplace, then head over to SAB with a pool noodle, and later have an ice cream waffle cone at Beaches N Creme.

Have a lot of fun !

I am feeling a wee bit envious here right now! We love, love, love SAB!

What an awesome day. Going for a late night swim at the villas pool and then I'll come back and post again.

Glad you're having a good stay.... don't worry about posting, even though some of us are staying up late just to see what you post next. :)

Like I said earlier, had an awesome day. We slept in - until a little after 10. I only had about 1 hour of sleep the evening before we left, so after our first day here, I really needed a little extra sleep. We used our snack credits for bagels and scones from BC Marketplace, and didn't head off to Epcot until noon. Had another nice chat with Teena in the lobby beforehand. Had to stop at the ticket booth to pick up our recently renewed AP's. The CM there was from our hometown, so we chatted her up as well. Our first stop at Epcot was the Kim Possible booth. We were told to report to Italy at 1:15 for our "orders." By the time we got there, I thought I'd had enough of the heat, but didn't want to disappoint my kids. So we trudged on. Our first Kim Possible mission was Germany and it was great fun. For those of you who have never tried this, you really should (even if you don't have kids.) They give you what appears to be a modified cell phone and when you hit the "OK" button at specified locations, magical, fun things happen. I think there is a mission for each country - Germany was fun; Norway not so much (I think I saw a little too much of the area behind the Kringla bakery!) After Norway, we decided to save other Kim Possible adventures for another day. We went on Maelstrom (a new ride for us) then headed to Future World. Several hours later we had made numerous visits to Club Cool, and rode Test Track twice (love the single rider line. No more than 10 minutes of waiting.) We also had lunch at Sunshine Seasons, rode Soarin' twice, and saw Captain Eo (fun & nostalgic) and tried out Journey into the Imagination (pretty lame, but it was cool inside.) We barely made it to our 7:50 dinner reservations at Les Chefs after having to run back to retrieve DS's hat from under his Soarin' seat (but thankfully it was there.) As we were walking away from Future World, we noticed a HUGE rainbow behind us - very cool. We kind of rushed of through our dinner at Chefs so we could see Illuminations. But we thoroughly enjoyed it - it's my favorite Epcot TS restaurant. And I never get tired of Illuminations - it gives me that Disney magic every time. Then we headed back to BCV and checked out the Dunes Cove pool for our first time. I honestly never expected we'd last all day at the park with the heat. But Epcot has so many air-conditioned venues so we managed quite well. It was a really great day and I completely appreciate the location of BCV. Tomorrow we head to HS, taking advantage of our location yet again. For now, it's bedtime.

P.S. Not going to post pics til I'm back home. I brought the cord but don't feel like messing with Photobucket.

Sounds like you and your children are having a wonderful time:goodvibes Hope the heat doesn't get to bad for you:thumbsup2

Another nice day despite the rain. We slept in AGAIN. Made it to HS by 11:30. Grabbed Fastpasses for ToT, then used the single rider line on RnR Coaster to ride twice before our 12:30 lunch at Sci-Fi. Got seated right away. Must have poured while we were eating. Was overcast or rained the rest of the day but not so hard that it deterred us. We checked out Sounds Dangerous & Muppet Vision 3D for the first time, and also did the Backlot Tour and Star Tours before heading back to ToT to use our Fastpasses. I hate this ride - lol. Why I let the kids talk me into it is beyond me. They rode a 2nd time while I shopped.

We relaxed back in the room a few hours before dinner. Couple of observations. We are on the 5th floor facing Epcot and I hate it that the outdoor lights come on automatically. Would love to try to watch Illuminations but I can't turn off the lights on the balconies. Maybe I'll request 4th floor next time. I also noticed that the electrical panels in our closet control several rooms other than ours. A mischevious kid could have a field day.

Anyway, we took the bus to DD for late dinner at Wolfgang Puck. They didn't have our 9:30 ADR, but seated us anyway. Fabulous waiter - Kenny from Ft. Lee, NJ. We used DDP but he gave me the DVC discount on our "extras." Could not get over how crowded the Marketplace stores were. I think we'll go back Wednesday after we check out of BCV.

Tomorrow we are just hanging out at SAB. 6-ish dinner at Le Cellier, then we'll hop on the boat to HS and try to catch the 10:30 Fantasmic show. We've never seen it and hope we can get in.

We are having a pretty good time despite the heat. Love all the space in the 2 BR villa here at BCV but I think the 1 BR would have sufficed for the 3 of us. DD will miss having her own room when we move to BLT.

I thought of one more thing about the balconies. There are spiders taking over all ours - to the point that they are making webs that make it hard to even go out there, especially at night. I think this must be unique to the woods view villas? I know we've never dealt with this at any other room previous to this, at any resort. I don't mind killing an occasional spider in the house, but I'm not big on being outnumbered!!!!!!

Well I don't think anyone is reading anymore, but I'll write anyway. I have 45 minutes before we check out of BCV.

Yesterday we totally changed our plans from a pool day at SAB, to heading over to Epcot. Got Fastpasses for Soarin', which were a perfect hour before our Le Cellier dinner. We rode Living with the Land again (to cool off.) Then we went on the Nemo ride and over to Mission Space for the green team (if the kids want mom to join them on this ride it's green team or nothing!) Finished up with some shopping from Mousegears. And we stopped at one of the DVC booths and signed up for the BLT tour on Friday (on the recommendations of Sandisw and Bobiwoz!) Then we walked over to the Int'l Gateway exit and took the boat to the Yacht Club dock so we could have lunch at Beaches & Cream. Then we enjoyed an hour at the Dunes Cove pool before getting ready for dinner. I think my kids and I are happy with any pool....SAB is kind of losing appeal for us - they enjoyed the feature pools at BWV and Jambo just as much. Honestly, when its this hot, any pool is a great pool!

I mentioned we shopped at Mousegears - I bought a pair of Crocs flip-flops to replace a dying pair of Teva's. HUGE mistake. I wore them last night. We essentially went to Soarin' & back and I got blisters in between toes and on top of my feet. Big disappointment - I wonder if I can return them? Anyway, the regular line for Soarin' at 6PM was 120 minutes. Even with our Fastpasses, it took over a half hour and we just made it back to Le Cellier for dinner. Our server was Matt from Ottawa, and he was just great. Enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. I had wisely had both kids order off the kids menu at Sci Fi yesterday and we had 3 adult credits left for dinner last night. We all had the filet in various forms (mine normal, DS with fries and DD with mashed potatoes.) We shared a cheese soup for an appetizer. And we all kind of picked at dessert because we were so full (2 creme brulees and a moose!)

We tried to do the Kim Possible adventure in England after dinner but it was difficult in the dark. Now I know why they end it at 7:45PM! My feet were killing me, so we headed back to BCV and I used the broom ot clear the spiders and webs and we enjoyed the fireworks portion of Illuminations from one of the balconies. Then I did laundry & most of our packing.

We are letting bell services move our bags, then heading to Downtown Disney by bus for lunch and shopping, then we will take the bus to the Contemporary. I'll post when we get settled at BLT. No plans for this evening other than quick service dinner at Contempo Cafe, swimming, and fireworks from ToTWL. I'm looking forward to it!!!

Sounds like you are really making the most of your time and getting a lot done, despite sleeping in. I will have to take notes for next summer!

You will enjoy the BLT tour, especially as a reprieve from the midday heat. Enjoy TOTWL lounge and the fireworks! It was my favorite place and I can't wait to visit there next summer every night.

I can't wait to hear about your room and trip from BLT!!! Thanks so much for the updates!!

:)I'm still here reading and enjoying your TR. Glad you are enjoying everything and I'm looking forward to more reports!

BCV is our home and our fav resort. We stayed at BLT last November and loved it!!!:thumbsup2 I hope you and you children love it as well. Enjoy!
