Live action Space Battleship Yamato (a.k.a. Star Blazers)

I know we've got some SF/anime fans of the right age...if you haven't heard, they are doing a live-action feature version of Space Battleship Yamato (a.k.a. Star Blazers in the U.S.) in Japan, and it looks amazing...

I loved Star Blazers when I was a kid as I would rush home from school every day to see if they could save the Earth. Of course they could, they had the Wave Motion Gun. I was lucky enough to run across the pilot of Star Blazers in its original box a few years ago and that is one of the few VHS tapes I still hold on to.
