Took a six hour test on Saturday, landed late Saturday night and met daughter and husband at the POP Century. I did not sleep much but I figure I can sleep when I'm dead.
Sunday went to Epcot early. Had lunch at Askerus and my little one loved it. She loved Jasmine's jewels and wanted me to tell her. Awesome dessert, flourless chocolate. Yummy. We went halfway around the World Showcase. Had orange grand marnier slurpee - wow - good! It got kind of cold so we hurried out. Met all the characters at Epcot, wait time maybe all of 20 minutes. Longest time in a line all week except for Saturday. Went on all available rides, following the UG. Even shoved in some rides for us grownups. Soarin was incredible!
Next day was Disney MGM - Lights, motors Action was everyone's favorite. Indiana Jones was great also. Only missed Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller coaster - got TOT on Saturday morning before we left. Chef Mickey's for dinner - great way to end the evening.
Tuesday - Chef de France at Epcot and Candlelight processional at 4 and 6:45. Went to MK in the morning and did all of the next days shedule and then some. No lines from Sunday till Friday. 20 minutes maximum wait on any ride. The only thing that we shouldn't have done was go back to the hotel to try and do laundry. POP has a service. Will send laundry out before 8:30 am next time. They have a service where they take care of it. Oh well, you live you learn that time is money. If you are going to do, do it right. Chef de France, good food, wine was awesome and service was great. Candlelight processional, a little boring for the five year old but I loved it and got me in the Christmas mood. Test track was by far everyone's favorite. Illuminations at night.
Wednesday - MK - did the rest of it with time to spare and even did Splash Mountain three times. There again was no wait. Added in the more adventurous rides because the little one was unphased. Chrystal Palace - I have to reccomend this one. Little one had to tell piglet she thought he was cute. I, of course had to give Tigger a hug. Caught the parade at all 3 parks - DD loved the parades. We saw all of them, couldn't help myself. It was fun to see her so celebrity struck as Mickey and Donald waved and she pointed and squeeled thier names. At night, went to downtown Disney, went to play with Legos at the Lego store. I am suprised I didn't buy out the whole store. Went to Harley Davidson to buy my brother a shirt. Ghirardelli for a sundae. It's all about me and the food, you know.
Thursday - Seaworld - It poured! Had plenty of raingear. Had the whole park to ourselves. Need I say more.
Friday - AK - DD birthday. Gave her the deluxe Cinderella dress but she wanted to wear her bride costume for the day. She wore the birthday pin and loved it. Ohana's was great. Breakfast was awesome and DD kept giggling all day when Stich tried to steal our pastry.
AK - won passes to stay in the park after it closed. They stop us and say you are winners! Only 400 passes were handed out and I never get lucky. Yea!!!! because then we got to see everything. Went on the adult rides at night. Cannot believe the little one went on Dinosaur and was not afraid. Mount Everest was the only thing that spooked her. She wore a birthday pin and about every CM we saw wished her happy birthday. She started skipping on
Wednesday I believe. People would stop and point at her. Dh declares we have spontaneous skipping! Birthday pin zero dollars, spontaneous skipping - priceless.
Went to Boma - food was just too good! Tried everything. Got DD a birthday zebra cake. The waitress at the front desk had Goofy call and wish her a happy BD! Came back to the room and found balloons and an autographed picture from Cinderella. All my little one could say was Wow, they treated me like a princess.
Saturday - went to ride TOT early morning and then went to MK for a session of BBB. She was Belle for the day. Brought a costume from home. Walked around leisurely. Liberty Tree for lunch. Saw the afternoon parade and had Dole whips to boot. Went back to the hotel and had a good nap. At night, 1900 Park Fare was the best character dinner. Just Lady Tremaine was so worth it! She was hysterical. Only problem, it was running late so missed beginning of the fireworks. Was great for us - DH had to go back to the hotel to get my daughter's entrance card. Watched Spectro after and went to the Bakery for brownies.
Sunday morning - quick dip in the pool and off to the airport. See you later, Disney! Hopefully soon.
Things to change next time. Would have stayed in a preferred room at the POP though it was a great place. Didn't realize that the cafeteria and buses were so far away from the 90's building. I did not do enough walking before the trip, which I should have done. I was busy studying for my test instead of exercising each day. Another thing - during the winter, you may not need to go back to your hotel, too much of a hassle. Park closes early. Just relax in the park, sit and people watch. Need to see Wishes, RoR, missed The Lion King at AK, do not ship food there - had too much. Maybe would have liked bottled water but that's it. Better than not enough! I can't even imagine getting the deluxe. Would have liked to time it for the shows on the World Showcase.
My list for the next trip. So DH, when do we go back?! Maybe throw in a waterpark or two, of course going in the warmer weather?
UG guide followed to a T! DH could not believe most rides were walk on. He kept asking where's the line and commented before the trip looking at the list of rides. Honey, you've lost your mind! No way we're gonna do all that! Did that and more. OK so my family likes commando.
Have a great holiday everyone! And thanks for all your suggestions. This board was so helpful!!!
