Are these rooms always left out of the free dining promotion if offered? We were planning on staying at Pop Century in November. Since we have stayed here before my mom now wants to try the other resort . I would rather have the free dining.

How far are the Little Mermaid rooms from the bus stops/food court etc?

Yes, they're typically excluded from all offers.

These rooms are the farthest away. I don't think the walk is a problem but some do.

The walk is not bad, but our kids are older--the only time it might be an issue would be in rainy weather. We were however located very close to the end of the building that is closest to the food court. I guess if you were all the way down the far end it might start to feel a little further away. You basically have to walk through the Lion King section and then you end up at the Nemo/Food court area.

We got free dining in the LM rooms when they first opened but I believe that was only because they finished ahead of schedule and just needed to get the rooms filled. I don't believe there has been a discount of any kind offered for the LM rooms since then.

I found the rooms too far away from the main building and bus stops. As an example, when it takes almost 20 minutes round trip just to go and get a drink in your resort refillable mug, that is too much time wasted IMO.

I booked AoA through Orbitz today for Dec. & received a discount on room only. We won't be doing a DP anyways so the room only discount was worth it for us!

We were in the same boat as you last year. Really wanted free dining, but also wanted to try AoA LM. So we booked 1 night at aoa through Travelocity and got a pretty good discount. we did not think the walk was bad, but like a PP said, we were at the closest wing of the king triton section, so we were as close to the main building as we could be. and also we only did that walk 2 days. maybe after 5 or 6 it might get long. but then we moved to pop for our week with free dining.

I will say this about AOA, it really felt almost like a deluxe hotel. When we stayed at ASMu a few years back we did feel like we were giving some things up, but AOA is pretty awesome. The theming is amazing, the feature pool is great, the food court had lots of tasty options. ASMu felt like they took rectangular buildings and stuck some disney images on flat walls. AOA had more sculpted and integrated features which seemed more high end, as did the amenities.
