Lithium Ion VS NiMH... Should it determine my Camera choice?

I am 98% sure I am buying the Canon SX10is-
My concern over the NiMH battery pack is what is keeping me thinking-
Should this determine my camera choice (along with allother features it will have, I love it) OR if a Lithium Ion is the best choice which camera is recommended?
I am looking for a Bridge camera (superzoom) Not a DSLR... I am not ready or savvy enough for a DSLR- just don't have time to learn it nor do I want to change lens and filters etc everytime I go somewhere-
For those of you with DSLR's your pictures are gorgeous, I appreciate your talent, but it would be a waste of money in my case- I need to learn more about photography before investing such an amount of money on an advanced camera- Thx!

Just my worthless opinion (or maybe it's worth USD 0.02). Do not forego another feature not named in another of my worthless opinions and that you would like just to get your choice of lithium ion or NiMH battery.

I agree with Seashore, battery type would be among my last concerns when choosing a camera.
If the camera has everything else you want, go with it!

I prefer a camera that takes AAs. They are always available in a pinch and are cheaper.

Thx- I figured- I will just buy a few NiMH rechargeable paacks- Are there any recommended more than others? Or should I buy camera manufacturer specific? If there is any for Canon... Thx again- I think my mind is made up-

I use Eneloop. You can order them from Amazon for pretty cheap w/ the charger.
