We're gonna be at the world from May 13-20th, 2010 - which just happens to be my sister's birthday [the 14th]. I made all these ADR's a couple days ago...

ARRIVAL DAY:
- 7:00 PM Whispering Canyon Cafe

FRIDAY 5/14 [also my sister's birthday]:
- 8:30 AM Cinderella's Royal Table

SATURDAY 5/15:

- None, but at some point tonight we'll be eating at Planet Hollywood

SUNDAY 5/16:
- 5:45 PM Yak & Yeti

MONDAY 5/17:
- None, we're just doing 2 QS meals today

TUESDAY 5/18:
- 8:30 AM Ohana's Breakfast

WEDNESDAY 5/19:
- 8:30 PM 1900 Park Fare

I have gone back & forth, back & forth, back & forth over these dining reservations. We're doing the DDP for the first time this year, I'm not so worried about breaking even [we probably won't, we are just more doing it for the convenience factor of not having to pay OOP] I just wanted to make sure we were hitting decent restaurants and wouldn't feel like we were too tied down. We kind of like to go with the flow while we're down there - not big on schedule's since our 'real life' is quite systematic & scheduled. LOL.

The only thing I am [still] considering changing is doing away with CRT, even though I really want to eat in the castle, making a ADR at The Crystal Palace for that morning, moving 1900 Park Fare to that night, and then eating at Trail's End on Wednesday night. I can't decide if that would be better then what I have currently.

Am I missing any restaurants that are on your must-do list?! There's 3 people in my 'party' - me [18], my sister [is going to be turning 13 there], and my mom [who'd kill me if I told you her age]. Any input would be fabuloussssss!

The only one of those I've eaten at is Yak and Yeti and I really enjoyed my meal there.

If you do to my dining report, there's an in depth review with photos.

They all sound good a few others that we really like is Ohanas dinner, Le Cellier, and Teppan Edo.

First off :welcome: to the DIS, any questions that you have about your upcoming trip....this is the place for them :goodvibes

Now onto your ADRs....everything looks very good. We love eating at WCC it is very fun and very good BBQ skillets (just make sure you ask for ketchup and a also let the servers know it is your sister's B-day). As for the rest of your meals we will be trying out 1900 Park Fare dinner and O'hana's Breakfast on our trip in December. As for CRT, if you want to eat in the castle, then by all means do it.....it is a wonderful experience. We have eaten there for breakfast before and enjoyed it and we are trying out dinner for the first time in December. Another suggestion is if you want to see all the princesses and want to save some money while doing so, is to go to Akershus in the Norway pavillion at Epcot. This is where we love to have breakfast with the princesses (yes we are doing this also in December), the food is very good and the character interaction is priceless....however, like I said before if you really want to eat in the castle and have never done so, then definitely do it. Also I would make sure you let the check-in desks that it is your sister's b-day (or call Disney dining so that they can add it to your ADRs) because they may (or maynot) do something special for her :goodvibes Have a magical trip.

Hi! Welcome!!!! :wave2: If it's your sister's 13 birthday and you've never been to the Castle, keep your CRT ressie! Those are very hard to come by. It will be a great experience especially for a birthday celebration. I would suggest alerting the staff about it. As PP pointed out they may do something special for her.

As for the other reservations you have listed, we've been to Ohana's breakfast. It was a wonderful character meal with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. Your family will enjoy the family style meal. You'll have a lot of fun!

Enjoy your trip to the World! It will be wonderful! :goodvibes

I liked CRT breakfast dislike other meals but breakfast is nice, but overpriced but its an experience right? :) On my must do list is always Sci Fi Dine In though its simple food the atmosphere is amazing

Planet Hollywood is terrible. Try Raglain Road, the food is much better.

I think your ADR's look great with the exception of Whispering Canyon Cafe. We really did not like this place at all. Dinner was very, very greasy. Twice we've tried eating here and were not impressed with the food.

Our tradition for the first night of our trip is to eat at Ohana. Food is excellent and the Polynesian atmosphere perfect. :goodvibes

Definitely keep your CRT reservation, especially as it's your DS b-day. That would be perfect. And as others have said, it's a tough reservation to get.

Crystal Palace has a good dinner buffet, maybe do that for dinner on your Magic Kindgom day and still keep 1900 Park Fare for Wed. night. Dinner at 1900 Park is awesome, we really love it there!

Everything else looks fabulous!:thumbsup2

I'm with you on the WCC. OK food and an atmosphere that encourages children running around does not equal fun in my book. More like annoyance:)
Ohana was fantastic, and the CP had a great buffet, better than I expected!:thumbsup2

I love Yak n Yeti! It's one of my favorites. Try their ribs, they are absolutely fabulous. It makes my stomach growl just thinking about them. :rotfl: Breakfast at CRT, I've only been there at lunch time....you pay for the experience which you will never forget....the food is just blah (maybe breakfast selections are better than the lunch ones). Either way, I'm glad I went and was able to experience it. Hope you have a fantastic time!

Couldn't agree more! Love all of these, including Whispering Canyon Cafe, eventhough it seems to run hot and cold with some posters.

:) Thanks everybody soooo much for the responses! I feel better & way more confident about the CRT res now...I'm keeping it a secret from my sister and even though she's "over" princesses [gr, that darn age] I'm hoping she'll be pleasantly surprised that we actually get to eat in the castle!

I have read quite a bit of mixed reviews when it comes to WCC but I just have to try it for myself! We're quite the hams and really are big fans of that type of food so I feel like it's a must for us.

And as far as Planet Hollywood goes...it's kind of like a tradition for us to eat there even though I know we could eat at better places. We're just strange like that, haha.

I see the link in your sig - I'll be sure to check it out! Thanks for the info. :D

Thank you so much!

When I made the online ADR's I marked that it was my sissy's birthday but I'm going to be sure to mention it when we get to all of the restaurants, thanks for the suggestion! When we went in '06 we ate dinner at Akershus and really enjoyed the food & the princess interaction. I didn't even think about eating breakfast there but if I do make any changes, I'll be sure to look into this one for breakfast. Especially because I don't currently have any ADR's in Epcot [not actually sure how that happened, lol].

Eeeeee, I can't wait! Stitch is my sister's favorite character so I'm hoping she'll really enjoy this.

Oh my gosh...I talk a lot...
