I have been looking for a list of all the Playgrounds or Parks on WDW property and I can't seem to find anything.

DH and I want to be ready to take the kids to some playgrounds as this is their favorite thing to do at home.

Does anyone have a list for me? At resorts too?

Thanks!

I believe there is a playground at each resort, but I think this may fall under the topic of "pool hopping".

Where are you staying? (*nevermind, just re-read your post*) My kids really enjoyed the playground at Coronado Springs, but we didn't really use the one at Pop the two times we were there (the ground cover was very annoying for getting stuck in their shoes and it just didn't seem age-appropriate).

I do not believe it is against policy rules to play at another resorts playground! We stayed at WL this past January and there is a great play set there! My kids spent a part of every day playing there! Here is a picture. It is down on the beach near to the Villas.

Well, technically, the theme parks ARE the parks. There are no "parks" on WDW property. There are a lot of playgrounds.

There are playgrounds near the main pools at every resort, some larger than others. No one really cares if you "playground hop"; we always do it when we eat lunch at other resorts. The playgrounds honestly don't get much use IME since kids are either worn out or wanting to swim. (Also, in summertime, playgrounds in Florida are often too hot to use in the daytime; kids can actually burn themselves on the metal components.)

There are also playgrounds IN the parks. Pooh's Playful Spot at MK, the new one near the rose garden in Epcot, the HISTK playground at DHS, and the Bone Yard at DAK. There are also splash fountains in every park except DHS, and a large one at DTD.

OK...I am one of those parents too that get ticked when my kids just want to go to a playground or pool while at Disney (why did we spend the time and money to come her?), but...they do need a break like the rest of us and this so happens to be the playgrounds and pool!!! Lucky us right?

There is a playground at most if not all of the resorts and if you go for the Flower and Garden they have them set up at Epcot!!! THis was a lifesaver for us last May with a one and four year old! THey loved it and it gave us a little break as well inside the parks. There is also the playground in Animal Kingdom that is really cool and a Pooh play area in MK that is also cute...if not smaller. There are numerous water play areas as well if you would like your kids to get wet that is.

Anyway...kids will be kids and they love playgrounds and pools...no getting around it even in the most Magical Place in the World!!!

Do tell more about the playgrounds In the parks. My sisters are playground lovers and well, I am too (guilty!) and they make such good photo oppurtuities. I love donalds boat!.

My kids love them, too! It gives me a break as well. I don't know about the Epcot playground...where exactly is this?

Our 2yr. old twin boys loved the playgrounds in the parks. We found Pooh's Playful spot in Fantasyland (MK), Donald's Boat (in Toon town - we dressed them in swim diapers and trunks) and the Epcot playground in Future World were most age appropriate and they had the best time! I know, I know, it seems crazy to go there and let them play in the playgrounds; we actually made a comment to a cast member that maybe we should have spent our $1200.00 on play equipment instead of a trip, lol. We got the best pictures of our trip in those playgrounds where they laughed and ran off some steam after being in strollers and waiting in line. BTW, we never used the playground at our resort (1st or 2nd trip) because it seemed like it was made for older kids.

There is a neat play area in EPCOT, inside of where mission space lets out. I hung out there with our 2 younger kids while my husband took the older ones on the ride. They had so much fun! It's kind of like a MCDONALDS play area.

Just to clarify something:

Every resort does NOT have a playground.

The Polynesian does NOT.

The Contemporary does NOT.

I'm not sure if the GF does or does not, but I've never seen it. It's not listed on the resort map...

The one at the YC/BC is located, technically, at the pool. It may be off limits to non resort guests. It's over by the Pirate Ship slide entrance. It's really old and not even worth going to.

Animal Kingdom Lodge's playground is ALSO located in the pool area, so access may be limited to resort guests, since that pool's access is strictly limited to resort guests...

The better playgrounds are located at the DVC Resorts (if you're at Epcot, the Boardwalk has a nice one). The Swan/Dolphin also has a good one.

The Coronado Springs is the ONLY playground on property with SWINGS, if that is important to you.

Im counting on playgrounds for me and the youngest while the oldest and ma go on the high rides.

I agree, just because you're at WDW doesn't mean the kids can't also spend time on an old fashioned playground.:lmao:

I think there is a toddler-sized covered play area in ToonTown in MK near the train station.

Here's a list I found in an online article.

The splash fountain area in DTD near Earl of Sandwich is also a great place for kids to play, provided you have a change of clothes, because they get soaked!
