List of Direct Purchase Availability and Price?

Hi all,

Is there a list anywhere of the availability and price of buying direct from Disney or do we have to call MS? Interested in a small add-on for OKW and wondering if the price difference is significant for a small contract between resale and direct.

My sister was quoted $90/point for OKW about 2 weeks ago from out Guide after we recommended she try there (where we own and love) rather than one of the resorts currently being sold by Disney.

I don't think the number of points you're looking for makes a difference in price - I think it's one price/resort.

Just did a small add on direct puchase about 2 weeks ago, $90 a point for OKW, 25 points is the least you could purchase. It was for August use year.

Awesome - thank you all. Trying to view all the resales as well. Have found five companies including fidelity. Can't find listings for GMAC - do they still offer DVC resales?

My understanding is that fidelity is gmac.

Resales are a better deal especially if you shop for one loaded with banked points.

Resale is cheaper, just remember that resale points purchased after March 21, 2011 can no longer be used for DCL, and the other properties in the Disney Collection and Travel by Disney. If it doesn't matter to you, then I would seriously consider resale.

Sometimes the waiting gets to me on purchasing resale.

We wait to find a contract for the right number of points with the right UY. Sometimes we never find that right contract.
Then waiting some more to pass ROFR.
And then are we are still waiting for closing.
And more waiting for our points to get into our account.

When DH and I think of all the waiting and we just want a small contract, we still buy direct especially if we can't find a contract within a few months of looking. Even though paying closing costs on add ons raises the overall cost. But then the points are in our account within 30 minutes after we give our guide our credit card number.

OKW points purchased direct expire in 2057. Resales vary, either 2042 or 2057, depending on if the owner purchased the extension.

Actually Member Services would not have any information on this. You would want to contact your DVC Guide who will be able to assist you with prices, incentives, availability, etc. Good luck!
