Here's what I did to help with the scary list
I printed out my list then went to the cricut website. I went through EVERY cart to see if I needed or liked what that cart offered.
I gave each cart a star from 1 through 6.
Then I made a NEW list
all my 1 stars, next my 2 stars, then my 3 stars etc.
At the end of my list I had 10--1 stars (those are the I MUST HAVE those carts). 14--2 stars (those are the oooh I want that carts), 18--3 stars (those are the I could use that cart), 7--4 stars (those are the I will use them but not often carts) and 3--5 stars (those are I want them but could live without them carts) and I had a bunch of 6 stars (those are I will never use them so I don't need to buy them carts-they never made it to my shopping list)

I then went and bought my carts according to my star list. when Michaels was having that great "Day before Thanksgiving" sale I got 9 out of my 10 1-star and 1 2-star. I got all but 1 of my 1-stars that day.

Thanks for the update!
FYI -- The cake carts work in all of the cricut machines. I have seen some examples of paper layouts using these carts. I agree with you - -a cart of borders would be nice.

Oh that's good to know. I'll have to get some of them now. MAYBE hubby will feel bad and buy me the cricut cake to go with the carts LOL

Just wanted to let you know I updated the front post.

I also changed it a bit I sorted the carts according to Cricut website this way it will make it easier for us to figure out what is what.

I added all the 24 Lite carts and the Coming soon carts. Be advised there are also some carts we are "saying Goodbye" to, those carts have been "noted"

That is a very nice list. I have a huge majority of the cartridges. But I just can't bring myself to buy Walmart Exclusives. ARGH!!! They are to expensicve for what you are getting.
