LisaTx .... camcorder question please.

Hi,
Dan said that you could possibly help me with a question. We have a rather large camcorder (not one of the old really big ones but still bulky to carry around) Well my DH wants one of the camcorders that has the large screen on the back and hangs around your neck for our trip to Disney. I was hoping it possibly took still pictures too but its only about $300 so I don't think it will. I guess my question is could you recommend a good one? Is a Sony Hi-8 what I want? Also is it as easy to keep up with as my DH seems to think??

Dan's giving me way too much credit. I only know about my camera which I love. It's a Sony TRV-8 I believe. It is a mini-digital video camera and it has the capability to take digital still pictures. It stores them on the video tape rather than a video card. It was in the $1000 price range when I got it 2 or 3 years ago.

I am not at all familiar with 8mm cameras.
