If I had a dollar for every time I've started and stopped a weight loss/fitness journey I'd be rich for sure. I'm 43 years old and hit my all time high of 262 lbs 2 weeks ago. Being only 5'2, I feel like this  I guess I can no longer blame it on the baby (he'll be 11 years old in 2 weeks).

So my goals are to lose somewhere around 120 lbs and to finish the Disney 1/2 in 2010. Not sure if I'll be walking, running, or a combo, but I will finish. My plan is to count calories, starting @ 1700-1800 and to exercise 30 min/day to start. I wanted to start this journal for 2 reasons. 1. So that when I am finally where I need to be, I can look back and remember all the details of the journey. 2. I feel inspired by so many people on the WISH and would love for you all to be a part of this. I welcome any comments, advice, etc.

Ok. So I'm not off to such a great start. Wish I could figure out why one minute I feel so gung ho and the next I don't. Haven't been watching what I eat or exercising, need to get going.
Today so far is good, brought my lunch to work which is a start (Usually order out) and I ate breakfast at home. I picked up my son yesterday from cross country and he was so proud of himself. Last week his legs were really sore and he wanted to quit, but he stuck with it and this week he's doing awesome. He was moved up to the "Big Dogs" because he's running really well. So that is where my motivation for the day comesfrom. I figure at this point I'll take any and all motivation from where ever I can. I know once I see some progress I'll have more motivation.

Thanks Momof2Minnies for the welcome. Today was a really good day. Ate on plan and walked for 30 minutes while my kids rode their bikes. Need to drink a little more water tonight. I hope the weigh in tomorrow for BL show at least a little loss. Survivor starts tonight, can't wait.
