Tuesday 19th December - IOA

The day starts with an early debate on whether to actually go to a park today or not. Can’t believe that it’s only day 6 and the troops are growing park weary but must admit to feeling the same myself. To be fair we wouldn’t normally do so many consecutive days in the parks but they are lovely and quiet until late in the day and we want to make the most of this before the Christmas crowds arrive.

We have IOA pencilled in for today and decide to stick with it, after a quick breakfast of fresh made waffles and maple syrup we are on our way. Kids are both sulking (see above) so I play guess the car park on my own and win again (King Kong)

I do a quick Christmas shop while DH & kids do Hulk then we all ride Spiderman. We have stroll past the water rides as again nobody fancies getting that wet. DS brightens up a bit when DH gives him a fistfull of quarters to soak the Ripsaw Fall riders again. I just walk off in embarassment they enjoy it all far too much. We stop off in Jurassic Park at the Discovery Centre where DS turns himself into a dinosaur and watches a baby one ‘hatch’

(DS morphed into a dinosaur - at least he isn't sulking for a change)

I sit out Duelling Dragons preferring to enjoy a frozen lemonade in the sunshine then we head on over to Suess’s landing for a quick spin on a favourite of mine ‘Cat in the Hat’. I buy a few things from the Christmas shop then we hop over to Universal for a while.

Queues are still relatively short so we do Shrek and Jimmy Neutron quite quickly. DH & DD do the Mummy as single riders to save time and we all ride Jaws. Lunch is more burgers at Mels Drive-in. DH admits to finding Universal a little boring now and says he probably wouldn’t buy multi day tickets again. I agree as we are easily managing to do both parks in a day.

After a quick trip on MIB & Jaws we decide to call it a day and head off to Festival Bay for some retail therapy. Was very impressed with Ron Jon’s and the big outdoor shop sells some amazing stuff (can’t remember the name of it) DD & I bought bags from Nine West (half price) and shoes. DS spent some time watching kids in the indoor skate park. I was just a little disappointed at how many of the units in there were empty as what was there was very good.

From there we drove across the road to the big Old Navy store where I stocked up on socks & undies for DS (he won’t wear any other brand strange child that he is) and T-shirts for DH then we went on to TGI’s in I Drive for dinner.

We normally start "flagging" on about day 6 or 7...that's when i start my "You lot dont realise you are born" and " Most kids would give their right arm for this holiday":rotfl: and the kids favourite "Don't you know how long it has taken us to save for this holiday!"

Great trip reports:)

Another great day:)

Didn't realise there was a Nine West Shop at Festival Bay ~ Will need to put that on my list of places to visit. I love NW shoes:thumbsup2

I love IOA, but mainly for the water rides so i'm not sure i'd even bother going in winter. I can take or leave USF at the moment.

:yay:
