Lisa Marie & Juan's PJ/TR WP/ADH 12-11-10 Wishes Wedding....PS TR Completed!!

Saturday July 3, 2010-
Got up about 730 am and attempted to get a head start on things…..somehow that never really works out for me. We brought our cats to DF’s parents’ house last night so we wouldn’t have to do it in the morning. Here are our feline children….

We spent some time playing around with our huskey, J (Yes, just the letter J haha, he came with the name Jerry, I am not sure who would name a huskey Jerry, but they did, we couldn’t really think of anything else, so we just went with J :O) ). We headed to the boarding place to drop off J. I’ll tell you, it was so hard for me to leave him….he looked up at me with those piercing blue eyes, like “Why are you leaving me?” Oh it was hard, but I trust the place, we have used them before and they were fantastic. Here is a picture of J....

Now on to Davenport, FL to meet up with my Uncle Chuck, Aunt Robyn and my 2 younger cousins, Brittany and Alexa. They were visiting from NY and were staying for 9 days and offered for Juan and I to stay with them. It worked great. I got to spend time with family, Juan really got to know them, we didn’t have to pay for a hotel and we were only about 20 mins from Disney!

We arrived about 3:30pm and found out that my cousin EJ had come down from Jacksonville to spend the day. It just started to rain as we got there but we still managed to have a yummy BBQ. I have no pictures because my camera was in the car and it was pouring :P We had a blast catching up….but it’s off to bed because we are spending 4th of July in MK!!!!

Looking forward to hearing about your PS
Your babies are beautiful. I particularly love Ninja!!!! Gorgeous!!!

Sunday July 4, 2010 - Day 2

I can’t believe we were going to be in MK for the 4th of July. I couldn’t wait until the fireworks. Juan and I went to guest relations to exchange our AP passes!! We were uber excited. I felt like a little kid all over again. My family laughed when they saw how giddy I was when we were handed our passes. Since this was the girls first visit to MK, I made sure to get them 1st visit buttons. They felt special walking around and CM saying, welcome and asking how their visit is going. The crowd was unbelievable. I mean I knew it would be busy….but it was insane. Juan isn’t a big crowd kind of guy….he has informed me to enjoy the day….because he’s not coming again when it’s soooo packed. I just laughed and he smiled because we both know that was an empty threat, hahah.

I have no pictures…..I know shame on me….but I forgot my camera at the house. I don’t know how I did it, but it happened. My Aunt has pictures, but refuses to give them to me because she is doing something with them. I told her it was just to share with my support group on the disboards but she wouldn’t give in. Oh well…..I’ll keep you posted on what she has up her sleeve. We enjoyed the day. I made sure that they tried a dole whip…..Oh how they are the best!

On to the fireworks. I cannot tell you how overwhelming the crowds were. My goal was to get the girls somewhere they would be able to see where they wouldn’t have someone taller than them in front of them. I have to tell you, there were some mean pushy people there. Come on people we are at Disney have some compassion and heart…..be nice. I asked one tall family if they would mind if the girls stood in front of them and they told me they don’t want anyone in front of them. Seriously? I’m not asking for me…. I’m asking for a 9 and 12 year old….grrrr…how rude….whatever. As we shuffle along like penguins, we found a great place to the left of the castle. The fireworks were unlike anything I had ever seen. They were coming from every direction. I loved how the finale had fireworks all round the park. No matter what direction you faced, there were fireworks. Disney really does it right.

July 5, 2010 - Day 3

It rained all day, so we decided to make it a lazy day. We stayed at the house and just relaxed.

Up next….The Planning Session!!!!!

Okay, so apparently life has gotten in the way of my PJ.....So I am resurrecting my PJ with LOTS of updates!!!

Starting with finishing the PS!!!!

July 6, 2010

I am not normally a morning person, but boy I was ready to go that morning!! We got ready, grabbed a cup of coffee and were on our way. I cannot tell you how nervous I was lol, we were meeting our planner Meri for the first time and plan our wedding!! It was so surreal.

We pulled up to the Boardwalk and I could feel my stomach doing flips and flops. We walked in and were greeted by a cast member, as we were talking to him, Meri showed up. She was so sweet and made me feel comfortable. She showed us to our room, where all the ‘magic’ would happen that day!!!

Look!!! Our names :O)

Okay, so we started with the napkin fold……. They will alternate baby blue and chocolate brown

Meri asked me if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions they should know about…..I dislike mushrooms….I think it’s a texture thing….I don’t like anything crunchy in my pasta, potato salads…etc I guess I am just weird like that….Meri and the chef found it amusing :O)

The bacon-crusted beef and blue cheese meatballs were AMAZING!! We could just serve that and I would be happy. It was paired with a vegetarian dish of vegetable somosa with sun dried tomato and red pepper coulis…… which was delish…..

Next up was a quesada….nothing special, but tasty….

The seafood pasta was yummy…..but there were crunchy things in there like, onions, celery and whatnot that I was not found of hahaha

This was the lobster and plantain (I don’t remember the actual name of the dish) salad. I love seafood but wasn’t impressed….the presentation was nice though

DSC00800.jpg

Mango sorbet in a martini glass….it was soooooo yummy…..i almost forgot to take a picture…the sorbet comes in a ball and not all mashed up like I am eating it :O)

Mahi Mahi with a mango chutney…..Oh how I love Mahi Mahi….oh how I was not impressed with this dish….it was too spicy (not a fan of spicy food) and it was on the dry side… The chef said he could leave out what makes it spicy and there wasn’t too much that could be done for the “dryness” because they are not cooking the dish at the ADH, it has to be transferred and reheated….okay so off the menu it went.

Looking at all this food again is making me hungry!!

Two-pepper rubbed beef strip loin with worcestershire demi and horseradish, basil mashed potatoes and parmesan crusted chicken breast with sundried tomato cream sauce…… yum…..
DSC00802.jpg

It was funny, because Meri said she can always tell when a bride is on the disboards because they usually always request the parmesan crusted chicken breast :O)
Both were absolutely delish and made the cut!!

Now that we are both stuffed…..on to the cake!!!!
DSC00805.jpg

We decided on top layer- almond cake with amaretto mousse, bottom layer- tropical mousse with yellow cake and the ¼ sheet cake- baileys mousse with chocolate cake…..I so needed a glass of milk after that!!

This is what our cake will look like but with 2 layers….
brown-blue-round-layered-wedding-cake.jpg

The centerpieces will look like this but will have white hydrangea….. at the sweetheart table, they will have white roses…..they will have the thick baby blue ribbon and the small chocolate brown ribbon around them

My bouquet…..white roses and hydrangeas and some hidden mickeys wrapped with white ribbon

Girls bouquets……white hydreangea wrapped in brown ribbon (their dresses are pool blue, ill post pics soon)

The groom will have a white rose with a hidden mickey and they guys will have hydrangea boutonnieres

That about wraps up the PS….we said our goodbyes. I have to admit it was all a little overwhelming…..we just planned our entire wedding from start to finish…..now nothing like relaxin… we headed off to Epcot to meet up with the fam and ride some rides!!

Love your PS TR!!!

We are also doing ADH and our colors are the same! LOL. :rotfl:

I can't wait to keep reading. popcorn::

The next day we had breakfast at Shoneys and said goodbye to my family because they were headed back to NY and we were headed up to Ormond Beach (near Daytona beach) to see a cardiac ablation specialist… Juan was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation with atrial tachycardia Aug 2009….he has been cardioverted twice(where they shock you with the paddles to knock the heart back into rhythm) with no success….so now our option was the have a cardiac ablation done (an invasive procedure used to remove a faulty electrical pathway from the heart). Yeah, our trip was pleasure then now on to business…. :O(
The upside to going to Ormond Beach is that we got a killer deal on a hotel…..we stayed at the Hilton right on the beach near the boardwalk for about 80/night using priceline negotiator….thank you William Shatner! Here are some pics…..

We enjoyed a nice evening on the beach and then headed back to the hotel….tomorrow Juan would be heading into heart surgery at 5am the next morn….I slept like crap….I was a nervous nelly…
Before we knew it, it was time to get to the hospital…to make a long story short, after 5 hours of surgery, everything went well. :O) Stayed one night in the hospital and were on our way home the next day. Not before stopping at DTD for lunch where we bought our wedding ears!!!
