Lisa and Geoff's Castaway Cay DCL Dream Wedding PJ&TR 11-12-11

In addition to the name tags and Mickey ears, I also asked each of my families for their favorite animated Disney movie. For each door I made an 8.5 x 11 door sign that I just slipped into a magnetic sleeve (I got 50 for 25.00). I have 2 couples celebrating 20 year anniversaries so I put that on theirs but on most of them just thanked them for coming to the wedding. I will be able to use the extra sleeves I got at school...(they are great for putting the bus name on the side of the school bus so kids can find their bus.) I did not give my photographer the option of a movie because I found Mickey with a camera. :)

This is just some of them. I think I have about 11 more to do. I just use a free disney clip art site and Microsoft Publisher. Since these slip into the sleeves, I don't have to laminate them.

The name tags, ears, and this will be included in their gift bags.

60 days until we leave!! :woohoo:

WOW! You have been busy! Everything is coming out great :)

Here are the contents of my gift bags...

Plus, the personalized cups for each guest from a previous post. The bags are all assembled so now I just have to recruit people to help carry the 21 bags! Luckily, I will have plenty of people to help!

I love all your little DIY things, they brilliant.

You have some really good ideas for your gift bags and everythings turned out great xx

The bags look great and so do all the special extras! Your guests will love them!

Thank you!

Dolly helped me with the DIY things. She is awesome. She has commented in my PJ if you ever need to contact her for designs, etc. Thank you!!

Wow you really have some great gifts for your guests.

Thanks!! I got lots of stuff at the dollar store. The only thing about the dollar store is you need to check expiration dates on everything because some stuff expires rather quickly. The silly bands were .25 one day that I was in CVS. I got enough Toy Story and Princess for all of the kids (and some adults) for almost nothing! Having a year to look and stock up, I was able to get some good stuff.

Another thing checked off of the "to do" list. It seems that now that I am under 2 months, I am on a mad dash to get everything finished. Instead of birdseed, rice, flower petals, or bubbles, we decided to do the ribbon wands. I think it will make for some good pictures and will be a little different. I got these last year and they come in white...we tied on the tangerine and clover ribbons to make them more of my own. I was going to put them in gift bags but thought everyone would forget them so now I need to find some kind of basket to put them in and assign someone to give them out down at the beach. I love the colors together.

Everything looks great Lisa!!! I am sure your guests will appreciate the time and effort you have put in to your bags and the ribbon wands!!! Well done you!!!

Thank you! I can't wait to see the wands in pictures...I hope they look cool. ;)

My sister is throwing a shower for me next Saturday. Here is what the invitation looks like that she did. Only a week until the shower!

I finished my wedding dress hanger, finally. I had made it a while back but just needed to put finishing touches on it. I added the ribbon and Mickey Heads on the ends of it. Total cost...$7.96 and I still have 4 hangers left, some wire, and a lot of ribbon. :thumbsup2 I had the stickers already from a while ago. Not too bad..

I do not know why the pictures look blurry but I hope you get the point. :confused3

50 days from today we will be on the high seas! :yay: About now we will be heading down for our first night at dinner. I feel like I have so many little things to finish...this is my newsletter that is going inside of the gift bags. I have not printed it yet and probably will not do so until right before we leave. I am still waiting to find out stateroom numbers for two of my guests that were GTY. That means they booked but were not assigned a room.

I am not going to print it until I am absolutely sure I don't want to add any other information.

It is a trifold that is why it looks kinda funny all laid out. Let me know if you can think of any information I may have left out or that may be useful for my friends and family.

Thank you. I think my hanger came out pretty good. I wish I could tie a bow and have it even.

For the newsletter I used Pages (Mac). I am not very good with it and used a template that was already made. I am much better with Microsoft Publisher but I don't have that at home anymore since I got this computer. I just don't have time at school to do a newsletter. :sad2: You could do one easily on word, I think they have pre made templates too if I remember correctly.

Was there anything you think I need to add?
