Day 4 Part 1 Getting Ready!!

Wedding Day!! Everyone got an invitation in their stateroom for the wedding when they first got to their room. This is how everyone knew where to go and I didn't have to worry about telling them. This was nice and everyone made it to the wedding...

So at 6:15 a.m. the phone rings and it is Mickey Mouse saying, “Oh boy! It is going to be a great day!” ::MickeyMo If you have ever been on a cruise and requested a wake up call, this is what you get. Today it seemed even more fun and exciting.

Our plan was for Geoff to leave and go to his parents stateroom to take a shower and get ready there while I had make up and hair done. He decided he was going to take a quick shower and then leave. While he was in the shower, I went on the balcony and took a picture of the sunrise and watched us pull into Castaway Cay. It was about 72 degrees and slightly windy. :woohoo: I was happy because I did not want to be hot. It was, however, like a wind tunnel when the door to the hallway and the door to the balcony was opened.

Geoff left and I declined a kiss from him since I wanted the first kiss of the day to be at the wedding...then I jumped in the shower and Brittany showed up to do make up at 7:00.

DSC_0268.jpg

We sat on the balcony to do my make up since I wanted to see how it looked in natural light. Santi, my photographer, got there also at 7 to start taking “getting ready” pictures. He also snapped a few pictures to see how my make up would look in pictures. This is one of them which just makes me laugh...I can tell the test shots since I have no lipstick on yet.

Day_3003.jpg

My friend who owns her own salon and normally does my hair came to my room at 7:30 and started hair. I was so lucky to have Julie, Santi, and Brittany all on the cruise with me! It is nice to have such talented friends!!

Day_3059.jpg

It was very nice that my mom and aunt were in the next stateroom over from us. Our cabin boy opened up the partition on the balcony so my mom and aunt were able to see what was going on without having to all be crowded in the room.

While Julie did my hair, my mom went and got me some yummy croissants from Cabana’s. Santi was taking all kinds of pictures of my shoes, tiara, veil, rings, etc.

My sister, Tina, came by to see me and helped me put on my necklace that was borrowed from my aunt that my grandfather had given to her. My niece and nephew were also with her.

Hair is finished! I loved the way it looked. It was PERFECT!!

Day_3110.jpg

So, I am going to have to break up "Getting Ready" since I didn't realize the 25 pictures per posting rule...

My dad came to my room right before I was getting into my dress. Another reason it was perfect having the room next door belong to my mom was that while I was getting into my dress, everyone could go on the balcony and over to my mom’s room.

Day_3117.jpg

Now it really felt real!! I absolutely love my dress! We took some pictures in the room with my mom and dad.

We had some time so Santi wanted to venture out and take some pictures outside of the stateroom. People were so very nice. Anyone that saw me said Congratulations and the little girls were the cutest...they would say, look, there is a bride!!

Everyone had to be in Evolution at 9:15 to get on the tram and get over to the wedding site. My dad and I stayed in my stateroom and waited for Andy to come and get us and bring my flowers. Santi left around 9:00 to head to the lounge to get some pictures there. This is Geoff and his parents.

Day_3174.jpg

Since I was not in the lounge, I am not really sure of all that was going on...here are some pictures...I do know flowers were given out, people were given ribbon wands, and they had fun...

It was time!! Everyone was taken off of the ship to the tram.

Andy was so wonderful with everyone in my party. Everyone commented about how organized he was and cordial and fun! So thankful for ANDY!! :worship:

Day_3216.jpg

This is a cool picture of my MIL. You can see the ship in her glasses!

Day_3218a.jpg

The tram ride...we had a whole tram for just our wedding. People kept trying to get on and Andy was so good at letting them know it was a private party.

Meanwhile...in my stateroom...My dad and I were talking, looking at the island, taking pictures of each other. I really liked having this quiet time with my dad. Moments I will never forget!

DSC_0279.jpg

We were out on the balcony talking and we could hear all of this screaming and honking. I wondered if that was my wedding party! Later that day, when I talked to my sister, I found out that it was them screaming and cheering on the tram. The driver beeped the horn on the tram all the way over to the wedding site. The driver said he had never had a family that was this much fun and excited to go to a wedding. Santi had them cheering and waving their ribbon wands.

There was a knock at the door! :scared1: It was Andy with my flowers and ready to take us down to get off of the ship. :lovestruc Here we go!!

Oh, Lisa! I'm so excited to read about your wedding ceremony!!!
I loved the getting ready pictures--you are so lucky to have great friends and family to help you. The shots on the balcony with Castaway Cay in the background are some of my favorites! I love how they are leading up to the big moment. :bride:
You are one beautiful beach princess! :bride: Glad to hear your group was excited to go to the wedding...Eek, can't wait to read the rest!!!

Thank you for reading along and for the nice compliments. Castaway Cay is definitely paradise to me. I love it. Cannot wait to go back in March!!

I am having so much fun reading!!! I can't wait for the wedding part. Your pictures are beautiful. I love the ones you did on the balcony with Castaway Cay in the background, simply amazing!!! It looks like such a perfect day :)

Your TR is fantastic, and your photos are gorgeous! Your guests look like such a fun group :goodvibes Looking forward to hearing about the ceremony! Thanks for sharing with us!!

Day 4 Part 2 The Ceremony!!

So, Andy came to the door and gave me my beautiful flowers! I could not believe how perfect they were. I wanted the tropical bouquet but the pictures I had seen had all been different from the stock photo and a lot of them had a lot of pink in them. I decided to just go with orange and ivory roses because I wanted the tropical orange color.

So, we leave the room and it is Andy, my dad, and me. Well, here comes the one moment of regret the entire wedding...

As I got to the exit, I scanned my Key to the World card and headed down the gangplank. Donald Duck :donald: ran over, got on one knee and kissed my hand at the bottom of the ramp! Regret...I didn’t have a camera. I thought about giving my dad my little camera but forgot all about it. I will have this memory the rest of my life! We walked a little further to the golf cart and Stitch :stitch2: came over and kissed my hand as well. SO cool!

The golf cart was waiting. I decided that I wanted to get my head together so I sat on the back of the golf cart and my dad sat behind me. I think he enjoyed talking to Andy the whole ride. So, while I thought I would enjoy getting my head together, so many people were talking to me, congratulating me AND taking pictures of me. I don’t know if I would have taken pictures of a bride I didn’t know but everyone was so very nice! I thought the little girls waving to me were the sweetest.

Santi was already at the wedding site beginning to take pictures. I was happy that the palms went all the way down the aisle instead of just at the end where I was to start walking.

OK, I finally get to the wedding site!

Day_3318.jpg

Day_3319.jpg

Everyone was all lined up and ready to go. Geoff’s sister and my two sisters were my bridesmaids. I loved how the rose wands looked with their dresses. I originally was going to do a smaller version of my bouquet but thought $125.00 was too much to spend on each bouquet. Then I was going to to silk but worried about having to carry them on and if the oranges would match. Loved how they turned out!

Day_3478.jpg

I was so happy to get up to Geoff! He told me I looked beautiful and kept squeezing my hands. We were both getting a little choked up.

When the officiant asked who gave my hand in marriage, no one said anything. My dad was supposed to answer. He asked again and still nothing! So, finally, I said, “OK, someone please give me away!!” Everyone laughed and I really needed that because it totally calmed my nerves. Even the officiant was laughing! I didn't want to cry through this ceremony like I had our first one.

Day_3534A.jpg

When I asked my dad later what he was doing, he said he was so caught up in watching the sun glisten off of the water and just taking in the day. I guess he should have been listening better!

My veil blew the whole time so I had to keep it over my shoulder. I have lots of ceremony pictures but they are all similar. Him talking, me talking, etc. Here are just a few.

I will have more coming! Thank you for your kind words. I loved that my dress was lightweight and I had a perfect day at about 74 degrees in the sun.

We actually were looking at my Dad, who didn't say anything when he was supposed to! :rotfl2: Santi was standing in the right place! I went through the Cruise Bride thread and read the entire thing. Now, the tropical bouquets were all beautiful but I know they use whatever flowers look the best at the time of year. I just didn't want to take any chances since Clover and Tangerine were my wedding colors. When you turn in your planning guide be sure to say NO PINK or whatever color you don't want. I did that with the ribbon color, I said Ivory ribbon since my dress was ivory. I am going to try to go through more pictures tomorrow and write the next segment. I have 3 DVDs full plus the pictures from my camera. It is a lot!!

Those ceremony pictures are amazing!!!! You look beautiful, everything looks perfect. The scenery is just amazing, your guests must have been in awe :) I can't wait to see some more pictures!

We signed the marriage license. Our fathers witnessed this one for us since our mothers did the one on board. I am glad we did this so they all got to be a part of it all. I threw in a couple of other pictures that were taken while we were all signing.
