Liquid Medicines over 3 oz in carry-on?

DH has a liquid medicine over 3 oz the prescription is on the box. Can we take this in our carry on and take it out for the TSA to see but leave it in the box so they can see it's a prescription in a plastic bag it won't fit in a qt. size bag? Linda

Yes, you can see it on the tsa.gov website. Prescription medications are alright as long as they are clearlt marked.

It doesn't have to be perscription, liquid medication over 3 ounces is allowed. I often take psudafed for dds on the plane, just have have it seperate.
