LINKING MAGIC BAND TO ACCOUNT

I am driving thru orlando and have 1 day to take my son to hollywood studios, for star wars of course, I have a magic band linked to my account, he does not, If I purchase one from the disney store can I link it to my account before we go, for our tickets and fastpasses? I have also read on all ears net that only the plain colored bands can be linked later not the decorated ones, any info would be greatly appreciated

You can link any new MB to your account.

The ones from the Disney Store can be easily linked.

All retail MagicBands can be purchased with the Link-It Later option.
