Linking 2 Ressies w/DDP only on one Ressie??

Has anyone made two separate ressies, one with DDP and one without and linked them together so you didn't have to change rooms?

I'll be using points for BCV and don't want to eat 8 nights worth of DDP but would like to do maybe 4-5 nights.

I thought we could but when we called, MS says even if we get the same room we have to physically check out and then check back in...that didn't make sense to me. We want to avoid repacking everything.

You can't do it. If you link them, they are considered one reservation and you must either have DDP for the entire trip or not at all. If you only want it for part of the trip, you have to have two separate reservations and risk having to move. And still check out and check back in. Maybe to a different room.

You can check back in first thing in the morning and ask for the same room, it's possible you will not have to repack.
