Linked Ressies ??????

Hi Everyone


After reading post here for a few months ,I've learned ALOT. There are a couple of things I'm a little confused about though. One of them being linked ressies. Some post say yes and some say no ,

but my question is .... If I call MS and book my whole trip through them and no matter what the payment is points or cash( or other) I can ask them to LINK the ressies and if I have linked ressies I will not have to move rooms?

or is it that they'll try not to move you but who knows they might?

If you book your whole trip via MS, you will not have to change rooms (assuming the reservations are for the same room type and view) and you will not have to check out and back in again between the reservations.

If you book part of your stay via CRO/WDWTC, you may have to change rooms. You will at least have to check out and back in again between the CRO and MS reservations.

As Carol said, they do link points reservations and member cash nights. These are considered one stay and you get member benefits (and limited housekeeping) as if they were one stay. There are times when they cannot be linked such as a boardwalk view room can't be reserved with member cash, so you will have to move. BCV does not reserve the 2 bedrooms with 2 queens with member cash. Your rooms must be the same type - such as lockoff vs dedicated. If they aren't, you may have to move, they cannot be linked.

They do not officially "link" reservations with points and CRO cash. So if you book nights on cash with say an AP discount, you can cross reference them but you will still have to check out and check back in and hopefully keep the same room. You do not get member benefits for the CRO cash nights (such as the 35 cents local call rate) but you do get full housekeeping. I added an AP night to the end of a points stay a couple years ago (OKW - Friday night) and it worked out fine, we got to keep the same room. The cm at checkin on Sunday made sure the Friday night reservation was noted with the room #.

I have just "linked" a Members Discount cash stay (two nights Fri and Sat) to a 5 night point stay. They assured me I would not have to move and we'd be in the same villa. I did do it via members services.

Thanks for the information regarding the cleaning, I wasn't sure about that and to be honest, I'm just as glad. You know I've gotten used to people not coming and going in my room.
