I'm sure I already know the answer to this (call in) but if I have two reservations linked on the front end, do I also need to call in and request that we be seated together in the MDR?

Thanks!

We do for good measure but I don't think it's required.

It is not required. That’s the main objective of linking reservations.

In the 2 instances where we've had multiple rooms:
1. rooms were connected and no issues when we got on the ship
2. rooms were connected and we got on the ship only to find out everyone had a different rotation/table (which they then fixed, but I think we didn't have very good seating at that point)

Wait times are short these days, so if you're concerned, it can't hurt to double check. I called about something else yesterday and was only on hold about 5 min.

We were able to link our reservations online with that of our friends who had booked about a week and a half earlier. Automatically seated us together (and moved our dining time to that of the earlier seating because they'd requested it). IIRC, you log into your reservation and then there's a button somewhere to add another reservation. You need the other party's reservation number, and the birth date and surname of one person in that party. Super easy.
