It wouldn't be so bad if I had something to do to pass the time. But the lack of work and the lack of other things to do to keep me busy is just making the time drag at an unbelievable rate. I'm already on the 6th Harry Potter book.... I was hoping that rereading that series would keep me busy until we leave for WDW but considering that it's only taken me since mid June to read through 5 books, I don't see myself taking another 43 work days to read through two books.

And yes, 62 more TOTAL day....only 43 days of work remain for me! :woohoo::banana:

Just read one page at a time. I'm currently re-reading the series too but I just started. I'm halfway through the first book. Looking forward to reading it at lunch today!

I'm about to start reading now and I've only been at work for an hour! I was done with my actual "work" at 20 after 10 so I've been sitting around DISing for the last 45 minutes....

Lumar wants me to look at the balances on the credit cards for him (since he is Mr. Financial Planner) and I don't want to! I know they are not bad but I hate looking at them! I've had so much financial trouble in the past (i.e getting myself into really bad credit card debt 3 times!) that I just get a knot in my stomache when I think about it... :scared1: I don't want to look!

Ugh. I know what you mean. I hate looking at that stuff too! :scared:

Random, but I think I hear the Soarin music somewhere in my office. someone must be on hold with Disney...

I have it on my iPod :cloud9: I love listening to it

OK so Friday will be our official 60 Days mark, so here is a little something to celebrate!

My Top 10 Favorite Disney Movies
(in no particular order, of course!)

- The Lion King
Naturally :thumbsup2 I only had Simba tattooed on my body....:rolleyes1

- Robin Hood
I admit, I had a mega crush on Robin Hood as a kid. And yes, I mean Disney's Robin Hood...as in the fox.

- The Rescuers Down Under
Not crazy about the first Rescuers movie but the 2nd one is amazing.

- 101 Dalmatians
Me and my brother used to crack up at this movie when were little. Making fun of a crazy old bat like Cruella DeVille was the thing to do. And it was especially funny when our mom would get really mad and we would start cracking up because she reminded us of Cruella.

- The Jungle Book
This is even my dad's favorite Disney movie. Sher Khan is my favorite Disney villain and some of the greatest Disney songs out there have come from this movie (see my previous list!)

- The Little Mermaid
My sister, my cousin, and I used to pretend to be mermaids in the swimming pool after this movie came out. We planned to have my grandmother make us costumes so that we could put on a live production of the movie. I used to fall asleep to the soundtrack playing on my Playskool tape player (yes, the one with the microphone that makes and appearance in Toy Story).

- Lilo & Stitch
A lot of people find Stitch annoying. I find him impossibly adorable....and this movie has a really good message, too

- Hercules
Another one with a great message and great songs

- Pirates of the Caribbean
Yes it's 3 movies and I'm lumping them all into one spot. Technically, I think the 3rd one is my favorite, but the whole trilogy was just such a great concept. Lumar and I actually purchased one of the big PotC art books in WDW a couple years ago and I still flip through it every once in a while.

- Dumbo
Horrifically sad. The part where he visits his mother when she is locked up even makes my brother and Lumar cry (although they'll tell you they had an eyelash in their eyes...:rolleyes1). But it's just such a beautiful movie with another really good message behind it...and it's a classic

Honorable Mentions:

- The Great Mouse Detective
Hardly anyone I know has seen this movie but I was obsessed with it when I was little.

- The Fox and The Hound
Adorable but another sad one...what is with Disney, seriously?? :confused3 It's funny because when I was little and watched these movies, I had no idea how sad they were. As an adult when I go back and watch them, I'm like "what the....??" :scared1: And for the record, I cried almost inconsolably when we watched Lady & The Tramp a few weeks ago during the scene at the pound. Remember, I am an animal rescue volunteer! The dang Shelter Dogs commercials that Pedigree runs make me cry. I bawled during that scene in the movie when all those little puppy faces were crying. It made me want to go to the pound and adopt every dog in there.

I looooove the Lion King! That's one of my favorite movies of all time. I went to see it two or three times when it first came out and I had the soundtrack that I memorized in about 3 days. Sadly, I've never seen it on Broadway :(

One of my favorite Disney movies is Sleeping Beauty. I love the fairies!!

I want to go see it on Broadway so badly but the tickets are just too expensive. Maybe when we come back from Florida we can put some money aside for it

I was Fauna for Halloween one year :goodvibes

I think I may have discount codes from Broadway tickets for select shows so if you're ever interested, just ask.

OMG definitely!! I keep hoping that we get a discount code through the Disney Visa but I've only ever gotten one discount code from them and I could only use it on Little Mermaid or Marry Poppins!

I have them for the majority of the shows. Some discounts are better than others but if you're ever looking for tickets, let me know.

OK so this is my first ever attempt at Mousekeeping envelopes. They're not stellar, but they'll serve the purpose!

Gosh your Mousekeeping envelopes are so cute! I wish I had time to make some! I'd be lucky to find a plain envelope and just write Mousekeeping on it. I guess I will try...maybe this weekend!

It was actually much simpler than I thought it would be! I've seen some really good ones out there and I know mine are nothing in comparison, but it was fun to do, and I like to believe that the Mousekeepers appreciate that little bit of attention! :goodvibes

I love the Lion King, it's one of my Top 10 Disney movies too! So is the Little Mermaid! Not counting this week, I have 12 weeks left til my trip, so I have to start watching a Disney movie every weekend to get ready! :cool1:

This is probably a much better idea than trying to watch a Disney movie every night for the last 30 days..... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

First order of business:

We're under 50 days! My ticker actually starts with 1 MONTH!!!!! :dance3:

I pulled out the two Disney duffel bags I have in order to determine if I can use one, or both if I have to, to pack.

20100821_19.jpg

I'm going to my dad's tomorrow to wash laundry so once everything is clean, I will be able to do a "mock pack" to see how everything fits. If worse comes to worse, I can check one bag, use the other as my carry on, and I'd still get to bring my backpack on with me because you also get to bring a personal item. I'll pack my new Mickey purse into one my bags so that I can bring it with me without having to carry it onto the plain. At least, this is the plan right now.

Lumar and I have also decided that we definitely want to do:

We got a fantastic deal on Category 2 seats ($53 per person as opposed to the $90 they cost directly, or $88 from ticketmania!), so we are going to purchase those some time this week.

We'll be sneaking it in to our schedule for Saturday Oct 23. It's an MK day for us and there are evening EMH until 2am. So this is what that day will look like (hopefully):

Breakfast at Kona at 9:20am
MK until around 1pm
Back to CSR for a swim and a nap
Back to MK for dinner at the Plaza at 5pm
DTD for Cirque at 9pm
Back to MK for EMH

I'm so excited! We both really wanted to go back and see the show again but couldn't justify spending the money. Since we have found this deal which basically gets us 2 tickets for the price of 1, we made the exception. Of course, we also still have to buy our Halloween costumes.... :rolleyes1

I love, love, LOVE The duffles. they are too cute!

Congrats on getting the tickets. What a deal!

Your duffle bags are so cute! And yay for doing Cirque! My best friend and I were looking at it for our trip next year, but we decided not to so that we can instead do both MNSSHP and MVMCP.

Congrats on your Cirque tickets, that's a great deal! I've always wanted to see that but I never have time to fit it in! :confused3

Thanks! I think I may have gotten the blue one from Avon but I know the black one came from WDW.

Yeah, we got a great deal on the tickets...so good IMO that it was stupid to NOT take advantage of it!

That is so cool that you get to do both parties in one trip!

If we were only going for a week, it wouldn't work out because we would want to spend as much time in the parks as possible. But we haven't been to Cirque since 2007 and we've been wanting to see it again so we decided t just go for it. We were ready to pay the full price for the tickets and I happened to come across this discount at the last minute so it's like it was meant to be! :wizard:
