I'm so sorry about your rabbit, it's so sad when pets die. :sad1:

I'm so jealous that you have a Flemish Giant...I LOVE those rabbits! :lovestruc

Sam was actually one of two Flemish giants in our house. Dixie is my 18lb female...much more outgoing than Sam so that's why she comes to fundraisers with me. Sam was a little smaller than her at 15lbs. They are tons of fun! :lovestruc

Lots of lettuce and other good things to eat in Rabbit heaven.

Absolutely...and he doesn't have to share if he doesn't want to...which I'm sure he won't

Awwww, that's so sad. :( I would love to get a bunny someday, I just can't bring myself to do it. I had a chinchilla for 11 years, he got sick and died a few years ago and I'm still not over it. I'm just not ready for another rodent. I keep thinking maybe I'll get a hamster to ease myself into it, then get another chinchilla or a bunny but I just can't.

I could never have a Flemish Giant with my cats anyway, they tolerated my chinchilla but a bunny as big as them would probably freak them out! :rotfl:

Hi Ali,

I'm one of those DisBoard lurkers...and have been lurking on the boards on and off since 2005, when I found the board.

This year, I decided to sign up and have been a fairly active poster since, particularly on the games boards. :surfweb:

I wrote a PTR for my last trip to WDW in May and am still writing my TR...but I might (not) be heading back to WDW in October. If I (not) go, I'll be (not) staying at CSR from 23 - 27 Oct. :rotfl2:

So, given that I'm still (not) going in October, its about time that I subbed into a couple of other October Disers PTRs.

Looking forward to (not) counting down to October with you.

Our cat was actually really good with the big bunnies....the smaller ones he was a little iffy about. I understand though...my husky died in May 2007 and I'm still not over that, either.

Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! :welcome:
I hope you get to go to WDW in October! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'm sorry to hear about your fur baby. I know how terribly hard that is. Hugs to you!!!

BTW, PM me a link to your Facebook, pah-leaseeee!!! (There's a huge reason, I promise! But some of our plans definitely overlap now; I need to go update!)

Thanks, Heather! I PMd you!

We made the final payment on our portion of the trip today!! I package and airfare are completely paid off! All we have to do now is buy our MNSSHP tickets! :woohoo:

I have no idea what's going on with my brother....I heard through the grapevine this morning that now he claims to be starting school in August :confused3:confused3 .....I can't imagine he'll be able to go to WDW for 2 weeks in October if he's starting classes.... I give up. Seriously. I really want him to go but he's been such a flake lately I just don't have the energy to stress over him.

I've been reading a lot of other PTRs and TRs lately and I've gotten some really good ideas for countdowns! Lumar and I decided that for the last 30 days before we leave, we will watch a different Disney movie every day! He tested me last night to see if I could actually think of 30 Disney movies....pfftt! I think we came up with more than 40!

So here is our finalized itinerary! Can you believe June is almost over?! October is coming up fast!

We'll probably eat QS lunch at Pizza Planet

Friday October 29
Our flight doesn't leave MCO until 5:40pm but we have to check out by 11am, so we will probably check our luggage, grab breakfast at the Pepper Market or Cafe Rix and then head to DTD for a couple of hours before DME comes to get us.

At this point, I still have no idea how we are going to get from the airport back home...we could rent a car or schedule a limo but the limo is going to cost about $100 for the one way trip. The rental would probably be a bit cheaper but I REALLY don't want to have to drive home to CT from NY.....decisions, decisions!

I'm joining you just purely based on your awesome title!!! I Hear ya- meeee tooo girl! ODPs UNITE! :lmao: ok... going back to start reading from the top. BTW, I'm Stacey, and if you need a good (no, GREAT) chuckle- read MY ptr! :rotfl2: (there's a link in my sig.)

Yay congrats on paying off your trip! :cool1: I'm sooooo far from there, it's not even funny! Eventually! :)

Your itinerary looks great! Oh and don't worry about getting to MCO on time, you're doing Jet Blue out of White Plains, right? They are very good about leaving on time and we got there about 30 minutes early! :thumbsup2

Watching a Disney movie every night for the last 30 days is a great idea! I'm definitely going to do a countdown calendar for this trip too, but I'm waiting to get to 100 days. It's taking SO long to get here! :scared1:

Hi Stacey! Thank you so much for joining! I'll be sure to hop over to your PTR and get started!

You will get there, don't worry! It's kind of a catch-22 because having a long time to wait before your trip gives you a lot of time to get it paid off, but it also gives you a lot of time to WAIT!

The trick with the evening EMH at MK....take a break in the afternoon. I took a a nap and was able to go until very late at night....

good idea...you know lumar and i would have tried to make it straight through from 9:30am to 2am. :sad2: A swim back at CSR sounds fantastical...wish i was there right now!

We did EMH at MK in May this year. The other trick is to pick up fast passes for certain rides and hang on to them for EMH. Whilst we were able to walk straight on for Splash (we did give this a miss but noticed the stand-by boards said 5 minutes), BTM, PoC, IASM; Peter Pan was still over 50 minutes stand-by even after midnight. Lucky I remembered that I had the FP from earlier in the day for this ride!

Hmmm....Great advice! I can't believe the waits were that long so late! I'll definitely remember this!

I'm sorry to hear about losing your bunny. I know how hard it is to lose a pet.

Yay on paying off your trip! I'm hoping to do that relatively soon, but I've still got a bit to go!

Your daily schedule looks awesome! I would love to go horseback riding at Fort Wilderness. If you decide to do that I can't wait to read about it in your TR! :)

Congrats on getting your trip paid! Your itinerary looks great! Two full days in each park? I think that is the best way to go! Our last trip we had 2 in each except 3 in MK and Epcot. It was a wonderful trip, but I think that I preferred just the two days. This time, we will not have 2 full days in each park. Makes me kinda sad, but that is just the way it worked out with our schedule.

Thank you  It's still hard to believe he is gone but it's getting easier as the days pass. I still wish I just knew what happened. In order to have a necropsy done, it would have cost about $1000 and we just don't have that. So we just buried him at my mom's house.

My brother still owes $1300 on his trip (and that doesn't even count his MNSSHP tickets!). The balance is due by September 4 and now he is talking about starting school so I don't think it's going to happen. He's such a flake. Like, when things are going good for him everything is fine. But when he gets stressed out and depressed he just makes rash decisions (joining the Marine Corp in the first place was all because he was graduating high school and didn't know what he wanted to major in if he went to college!)

If Mike ends up not going with us, then we have two possibilities:
1) We can try and move our T-Rex dinner (we're currently scheduled at 5pm) to a little later...like maybe 5:30 or 6pm, and then do both mini golf and horseback riding.

2) We might skip mini golf and just go to Fort Wilderness for horseback riding instead.

At this point, it's still a big question mark because I have no idea what my brother intends to do. I texted him about 4 hours ago and asked him to call me, indicating that it was kind of important. He hasn't called yet. :sad2:

We used to only go for a week...one day at each park. But we would come home feeling like it had been the shortest week ever, and there was so much that we didn't get to do. So we lengthened our stay to 9 days...two days at each park, and it's been working really well. For this trip, we made it 10 days so that we could have an "off day."

Since we will be doing MK a total of 4 times, (2 regularly scheduled visits plus 2 MNSSHPs) we may mix it up a bit and take one of those days to go to Epcot again instead. If that happens, it would most likely be our last day, since we have no ADRs actually IN Magic Kingdom. However both ADRs are on the monorail so it would be extremely easy to switch it up and go to Epcot that day instead. I'll have to run that by Lumar and see what he thinks. Although I'm sure he'll say "whatever you want to do is fine." :thumbsup2

:flower3: I have a younger brother who has the natural tendencies of tumbleweed. Our families met up in WDW in May, with our parents. I researched and planned and tried to get him to commit to a couple of ADRs. He just thought we would work it out when we got to the World. So, I gave up on him and booked a couple for my family.

On the first day that we met up, we headed to Epcot. At 6 pm....he thought it would be a good idea to head to Le Cellier and see if we could get a table for dinner. There were 9 of us!! :rotfl2:
I guess re-adjusted his thinking real quick after that!
