Link to buy the $99 tickets?

I called 3 krogers' in our area...none of them sell universal tickets...:confused3

I picked up three from a Kroger in Atlanta last night. They are on the gift card rack. It took me a few minutes to find them. If you call, they may not even know to look.

Now I have enough for the next two trips :cool1:

Yes, with their multitudes of gift cards. They are bright blue with a red spiderman on them.

Probably if you call they won't realize that they are a gift card.

I'm really glad I found this thread last night. I was aware that the price of the tickets would go up sometime in 2010. I was planning on buying the tickets in February (for our trip in August). Well, I just bought 4 tickets this morning from my local AAA office for $398.68 !!!

And, YES, the $99 tickets are still good to use in 2010 or whenever. On the back of the ticket is says (in bold print): "TICKET EXPIRES 6 DAYS AFTER 1ST USE". There is no mention of any expiration date.

AAA is by far the cheapest option. And that's even when you include the $63 initial membership fee ($53 to renew).

We got our passes online through AAA this morning. :cool1: Sooo glad I found this thread!

Are you in Decatur, Alabama? I live South of there and was hoping to find some at the Kroger in Decatur.

The Kroger passes don't include CityWalk. They are only for admission to the parks. Now there are times when admission to the parks will also get you admission to CityWalk (saturday nights during Mardi Gras, for instance) but it's just a coincidence that you happen to be there at the right time.

I bought four of them today and they DEFINATELY say they DO include "all-club access to the live entertainment venues at Universal City Walk."

Of course, this obviously doesn't cover seperate ticketed concerts/events...

No, kroger here. Looks like the links have changed prices. My AAA has the tickets, but my membership expired in 2009. I guess I have to renew. I probably would have renewed for hotel discount anyway. Glad I checked this board, since I had no idea they would jack the ticket prices up so high for 2010.

I went to the krogers on broadway in knoxville jan.22,2010 around 630pm and got 4 tickets for universal. total cost : 359.98 woo hoo. go to the gift card section and on the left hand side at the lower right hand corner will be the tickets. there looked to be around 15 or so left. This is the only Krogers that i found to have them. I looked at the one off Western Avenue, and the one off Clinton Highway.

I would like to know if anyone has used the Krogers gift cards before and were they easy to use. WE are going in March and wanted to know what to expect?

I just went onto my AAA site (NY) and it is only offering a one day ticket :( I don't see $99 7 days tickets at all.

I don't see the lower cost tickets at Undercover Tourist now either. I guess that they ran out...

You're right, I checked the cards and they include CityWalk. What a deal!! Since I have had an AP for years I only buy those cards for friends and relatives, never had to actually use one myself. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks so much for the Kroger tip!

I'm another one who put off getting the $99 tickets and was bummed to find out I had missed out. After reading this thread I was able to pick up the $89 tickets at our local Kroger!! We are all set now! :cool1:

Great pics Purseval. It makes it a lot easier to find in that sea of gift cards.

I tried our Kroger here and could only find the $25.00 gift cards. I plan to try 3 other Kroger's tomorrow...wish me luck!

Good luck to ya'! :thumbsup2 They're a lil dizzy-ing to spot amongst the hoardes of gift cards but keep looking and maybe bring an extra set or two of eyes to hunt them out. I'm just south of Knoxville (Maryville, TN) and both of our Kroger's still had quite a few left. If I recall right, they weren't grouped together with the $25 dollar gift cards though. Not sure there's a rhyme/reason to how they're laid out. Also, I found mine on the HUGE kiosk gift card display, not the smaller one. Maybe ask at customer service if they have a BIG section of "gift cards?". And again, good luck on your quest! :cutie:

Well...my search engine pulled a "funny" one on me...but since I'm here now...
Has anyone seen Universal Studios Gift Cards in stores for sale recently? :goodvibes
