We're trying to decide if we should stay 8 nights or if 7 nights would be sufficient. We're staying at the contemporary and have 6 people in our party. Me , my husband, 3 kids-- then 10, 7 and turning 5 while there! Plus, my mother who is a healthy 60 something.

I'm thinking the lines will be short and 7 nights (6 days) will be sufficient to do all of the major things . We're going in late Jan./early Feb.

Any thoughts??

In late January/early February, absolutely. The parks won't be dead but with an average of 3-4/10 crowd-wise it's much easier to see and do everything that you want.

Six days is a good time frame and being so close to the MK and having the Monorail to Epcot will make it even better. We love late January. The crowds are not as low as they were a few years ago, but they are still fairly low and rates are lower too. Of course an extra night is always a bonus:).

Thanks all! Decisions decisions!! On the one hand, we're already at 8K for this trip. On the other hand, what's an extra night when you're already at 8K? :-P

I'm leaning towards the 7 night and maybe doing an early flight, so we can go to the park on our arrival day!

I like your thinking! There is no such thing as too much Disney time! pixiedust:

We have gone a few time during late January and the lines are pretty quick. As a pp said, you are looking at 2-4 crowd levels. We really like going that time of year.

We stayed 7 nights, January 31-February 7. I didn't think the lines were bad. The *big* attractions had long lines if you didn't rope drop them but pretty much everything else was very reasonable, most 20min or less. I think if I had the option for another night I would have liked it ;)

Overall fairly short lines. However rides like Soarin had an 80 minute wait. We also got FastPasses for Toy Story Mania. More popular rides may have somewhat longer lines, but we just get FP 's. We also took advantage of Early Magic Hours and the parks were pretty empty. At AK we walked right on the Safari ride, no wait.
