Has anyone been to TL or BB recently? How have the lines been for, say, the last 3 hours of the day??? Is it better to go when they open or late in the day???? :confused3

Thanks all!! :thumbsup2

I went to BB july 29th and the lines were 15 - 45 min for most of the rides but the summit plummit was 2hrs all day long... so if i were you and wanna do the summit id ride that first and then just ride what you want the rest of the day...... use the lazy river to get from one end of park to another dont bother with the chairlift for anything the lines for that are ridiculous unless of course you want to do the summit then run to the chairlift first.. the steps to the top of mtn gushmore for the plummit are way to many for the heat.. thats the best advice i can give you on the lines.. have fun :)

Thanks for the input. Were you there right at opening with the lines so long right from the start?

Anyone else? :goodvibes

i was there from 845am til 530pm... we didnt want to get caught in the traffic jam getting out of blizzard beach parking lot when the park closed at 7 or the fear of hitting any loose kids as they ran to the putt putt course beside BB when they were done at BB.. our mistake was not going to summit plummit first and then going on the other slides.. cause by 10am the lines for plummit were 2hrs and still were when we left at 530.. all the other rides were 15 - 45 all day long.. regardless of time... the lazy river tubes were you got one when whoever reached their destination and gave you theirs... the most i waited on a tube was 5 minutes..

Thank you ILvRbnHd, that definitely helps me with my planning! :cool1:

Has anyone else gone on a different day than Saturday recently?? :scratchin

Just so you know ILvRbnHd's experience is pretty typical of any summer day no matter the day. If you don't ride Summit first thing you will be waiting at least an hour and more likely 2 hours in line for a 3-5 second attraction.

We were lucky enough to have emh for tl during our trip last week.

It's the only park I'd recommend going to emh for, although as I understand it they don't have them often...even the bus driver I was talking to swore they never had them. I had to show him the schedule to prove it!

At any rate, if you're lucky enough to be there when they do schedule one..definitely go. The last 2 hours the place was virtually empty!

We went to BB three times in mid July all during the weekday. The park consistantly filled up around 10:30 am. If you were there first thing, grab a nice place to sit or lay out (we love the wave pool area) and make your way to summit plummit ASAP. The lines started to get really crazy after 11:00. In fact, the teamboat springs raft was over an hour long on a Wed at 1:00. The double tube ride (I forgot what it was called) had a line of 30 minutes just to get the tube, then the line up the stairs took another 30 minutes. The days were in the mid 90's°, so there were a lot of people in the water parks that week.

Thanks all!

peachgirl, was the EMH in the morning or night? I'm thinking it was the morning and that's more likely why it was so slow at the end of the day? Also, do you remember which day of the week it was? Thanks!

G8RFAN, YIKES! 30 mins. just for the tube?! That scares me because I don't want to waste half a day just moving from one incredibly long line to another. That may not be the best use of our time.

We're planning to go for the last 3+ hours of the day at TL and BB. Hopefully, we'll have good luck.... :cool1:

Anyone else gone late day with luck? :goodvibes

Just got back and did BB on 8/1 and 8/6. We arrived at park opening and had a good hour of no lines, no waiting. On 8/1 My older sons and DH rode summit plummit and the slush gusher several times with minimal wait time. We all rode Teamboat Springs around 9:45 and waited maybe 5-10 minutes. The lines started to get longer and we switched over to the Tobaggon Racers, runoff rapids etc.. Never waited more than 15 minutes all day. On 8/6 it was an EMH morning so from 8-9 we had the place to ourselves - magical. We left the park at 11:30 on 8/6 (had to come home!) and the line to purchase tickets was enormous!
