Line jumpers, or "I'm just catching up to my party"

They could also have a DH like mine who just starts walking and forgets that his family is behind him. Quite a few times, my DH got in line thinking I was right behind him when in fact, I was parking the stroller, getting my camera, etc. Then a family would go in right after him and I would end up behind them. In this situation, I have asked if it was okay to go ahead with my DH.
I have never just skipped ahead. I did ask first.

In this case I would think it would be more polite to have your husband come back to meet you....

:thumbsup2 DH would come back to us.

We've gotten separated before in those "please folks everyone fill in all available space" situations and even if DS & I end up in front of people DH is behind, DH will not ask to come up to us. He thinks it's embarrassing - LOL!

Now when we're in line for beer, well that's another story. :rotfl2:

I just want to see a rule book that says it is against wdw rules to leave the line for any reason and return.I keep seeing the same ol it against the rules...I have been many times and never have I seen this posted ANYWHERE...I HAVE had to get out of line to find my lost grandma (she parked her wheelchair and got lost in the crowd,we thought the other had her) yeh silly us but when I found her the cm gladly let us right back where I was...if someone spent more than 1 minute stressing that I did that while on their vacation I just feel bad for them..

My friend, her husband, and I were waiting for Kilimanjaro Safari at AK once. We were almost to the end of our wait when her husband realizes that something he had for breakfast had disagreed with him and he had to go to the bathroom NOW. We kept going forward in line, and he went to do what he needed to, talking to the CMs along the way to let them know he would be back. When he returned, they told him to use the FP line, and then when he was within our eyesight, the CMs on the platform yelled for everyone to make way for him to come through.

All of the crowd and the CMs cheered for him when he made his way up, and he was thoroughly embarrassed. Everyone was very nice about it, but I think it had been fairly obvious to everyone that he had an emergency and wasn't cutting in. It actually made for a very fun memory.

It's also not posted anywhere that Guests may not assault line-jumpers. :)
the old im sorry step on the toe works good to. helps being 280lb and size 13 shoe sometimes. oops, i didnt see you there, im sorry.
Looks like I spoke too soon...

Some things just fall into the category of Common Sense.

I could understand why people would get mad but I can understand some situations.

If they got off the line to quickly use the bathroom or if a child had to use the bathroom or for some other emergency, I would understand.

They could also have a DH like mine who just starts walking and forgets that his family is behind him. What I don't like is people who lie and try to skip everyone just because they don't want to wait like everyone else.

I see nothing wrong with this. I would gladly let you in. Stuff happens!!
