I know what you mean. It didn't really feel "real" to me up until we got confirmation of our date a few days ago! Everyone has that moment when all of a sudden its like, Wow... this is really going to happen!!! It will come for you! I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get Marion!! I wonder how long it will take for us to get our planner. I can't wait!!

YAY for the contract!!!! I think everytime something happens it feels more real. First with the contract, then when I got my planner but I think the planning session will make the most impact for me!!! Fingers Crossed!

Congrats on getting the contract sent in! That's a big step. I guess I was like you, I expected it to feel "real" when I got that done...and Indy's right with each step it feels a little more "real", but when we went for our Planning Session...THAT was the step that made it real for us. If you are able to do one onsite, I highly recommend it. I know not everyone can do that, but if it's possible, I say GO FOR IT!

I know she did Carrie's wedding, so I feel fairly comfortable. I was hoping for Marion, but oh well.... Now off to call Diane!

Save the dates arrived to our guests yesterday (some on Saturday, but most yesterday) We got a ton of calls saying how nice they were, which seriously makes me happy as we didn't need to pay any extra for them!!!

So now, hopefully people will start booking their rooms and getting excited for the big day. I'll be sending out an email to the bridal party hopefully this weekend. I want to outline everything we know so far for them... and I'll be printing out and saving a copy of the email for when people say things like "you never told us we needed to blank!!"

We had Diane and she was really great. I think I told you about our experiences with her. She is on the ball and very organized. She is definately there and no nonsense. I really liked that about her. We had a planner before her that is no longer with DFTW and that was like slugging through mud at times. I think you will really really like her. It may be a good idea for her to talk to Marion since Marion did your sister's wedding. Trust me when I tell you that Diane can handle ANYTHING.

Congrats on your VR!! Chris agreed yesterday to a VR for our 25th at TOT... let's see that will be 2034!!!! I'll be 52!

Thanks Jonette!!! I like the fact that everyone tells me that she is no nonsense! I'm that way too. I fully intend to have a clipboard, a binder and my bride ears at the rehearsal!! I think that she did speak briefly with Marion because it was one of the first things she mentioned when she called me. Overall, I feel confident in my planner's ability. (And look at the weddings she's done!! Yours (beautiful) Carries (wow!))

Thanks girls! I can't believe how quickly my ticker is moving. Next weekend we are going to order my dress and complete my veil. Yesterday we were at our 10 month mark. It was soooo weird. I looked at DF and said "This time, 10 months from now, we'll be watching Fireworks at our cocktail hour."
