Is this what Disney intended when they announced the promotion a year ago or have we hit a new low?

Bite into a Magical Thanksgiving Celebration:confused3
November 24 to December 1, 2013

Celebrate the tastiest time of the year with Thanksgiving treats at Walt Disney World Resort—courtesy of Limited Time Magic! Savor the flavors in Magic Kingdom park with pumpkin delicacies at Tony's Town Square Restaurant and Sleepy Hollow, as well as seasonal Starbucks offerings at Main Street Bakery. For Guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios, pumpkin cupcakes are available in many quick-service restaurants, and specialty drinks can be found in various bars. Even more goodness is waiting to be gobbled down in Epcot, like pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin muffins inside Sunshine Seasons.:stir:

I'm underwhelmed.

No, the low point is when they were selling hats that were actually released a year earlier.

While I agree this is not that great a promotion, it's not the worst one I've seen this year. At least this LTM does have something to do with the general part of the year it's in. To me, the worst LTMs were the ones where something was being sold at a discounted price that had been out for a while (it felt like a way to clear out merchandise stock). So, while this LTM isn't one of the best ones, it's not the worse one to me either.

Okay, mabye this one isn't the "worst" but "pumpkin spice in the muffin mix" isn't exactly what I thought Disney had planned for us when I told my family about this promotion when we booked our trip last year.

Sadly, I think the problems is that Disney builds big expectations with their promotions and very few live up to the hype. There have been some popular LTM events (e.g., Long Lost Friends), but most were pretty small. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised because it was unlikely that there would be spectacular events weekly (I really doubt the parks would have the budget), but it has for the most part been disappointing. At this point, I would hope for one good event that has something to do with the holidays (maybe between Xmas and New Year), but aside from that, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Though, maybe they're already considering Jingle Cruise the holiday LTM. :rotfl:

....the all new Jingle Cruise Queue....see the line like you've never seen it before, decorated for the holidays.

Sorry, I LOVE WDW, but this is the most disappointing promotion ever. New cupcakes and vintage character visits are not my idea of a promo...Disney Imagineers need to come up with something better in 2014!!!:dance3:
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ march 2014:joker:

More excitement is generated every year by the limited release of the McRib! :cloud9:
