I have been reading a lot of posts and occassionally have seen something about looking for the lime ribbons. What is the meaning behind the lime ribbons...am I missing something?
Yes, the lime ribbons are to identify fellow Dis-ers. My December trip will be my first trip since discovering the "Dis" board, so I have lime green luggage tags, straps and will wear a lime green ribbon in the park. (My daughter will probably be mortified if I see a stranger in the park (wearing a lime green ribbon) and I walk up and introduce myself! I don't know if anyone ever meets like this, but I'm going to be on the lookout when I go.
I met quite a few people last year through my green ribbons (or theirs). My husband thought I was crazy when I told him that I needed the ribbon, and he wouldn't wear it (he says he will this year!), but he enjoyed meeting the people that he thought were my "imaginery friends".
This time, not only will I have my ribbons, but my granddaughter, a very adorable 3 1/2 year old by then, says she wants to wear grandma's ribbons too!
I also put a bunch of ribbons on the door of my room at each resort (and while I'm on the DCL cruise, too).
