Hi all, just watched Lilo & Stitch 2 for the 3rd time, and we LOVE it!!

I was really impressed with the "upgraded" animation! Usually the "straight to video" movies have compromised quality on animation, but I think this one is vastly improved. The storyline is compelling and interesting for the kids, and overall a fun movie.

What do you think??

We really liked it. My DD really noticed the change in the voice of Lilo. She watches all the time on the Disney Channel.

LOL - so did my dd's, we had just watched Cat in the Hat and my oldest dd said that is the same kid.... lo an behold it was...Dakoda Fanning. Sally, from Cat in the Hat and many other movies is the voice of Lilo in Stitch has a Glitch.

I like the original Lilo and the Stitch the series voice better -no offence as Dakota is a great little actress but not "our Lilo"!.

We liked the movie very much and we all shed a tear or two so I am hesitating to send it to my 4yo nephew who is a HUGE stitch fan.

Any parents with preschoolers how did they feel about the movie - sorry for the hijack?

To the OP we loved it.

TJ

Okay, why are you hesitant to send it to someone who is a huge stitch fan? My son LOVES L&S the series and I am planning to get him this movie for Christmas or Birthday. What happens?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to spoil it for someone else.

Thanks

Not that most of us adults need a warning on a kids dvd but just in case
.
.
.
.

Toward the end stitch dies and it is very sad, my 10 and 8yo both cried as they are MAJOR stitch fans. Its short but sad and in the end Lilo's love saves stitch despite the best efforts of Pleakly (sp?) and Jumba to avoid the tragedy in the first place.

So, since then they have watched it again (and again) and loved it but I wanted to get the reactions from moms of preschoolers. Just thinking that if my girls got upset then my nephew may.

Yes - I should have clarified !!

Thank you so much for giving us a heads up. I'm glad that it has a happy ending, but it also makes me wonder what kind of message we are sending kids when we teach them that death isn't permanent.

Ok - when I clicked on the thread, Of Course!!!, it came up right after the Spoiler. I'm the type of person who never reads the end of a book 1st. Please tell me that Stitch is okay @ end of movie. I was on my way out to buy it for my son who has a broken foot and it appears the flu also - don't want to get it if there isn't a happy ending. Please advise.

DD 8, and DS's 9 & 11 just finished watching it for the 2nd time in 2 days -- they love it an want me to buy it (they can watch the original over and over....)

Favorite line, "he used to be a Collie before he got run over...." :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Thank you so much for this. We have not seen it yet. My DD5 cried so hard during Mulan 2 the first time she saw it.

My 6 year old DS loved the movie!! They also give previews of the new stitch movie coming out in 2006. We can't wait! It's called Leroy and Stitch.

We loved it here ~ although it was hard to get past DF as Lilo. At the sad part, DD6 kept saying, "it's not over, it's not over, it's not over" ~ she is a little obsessed with L&S to say the least and this just about put her over the edge, LOL! :bitelip:

My kids are huge L & S fans and I just bought it for them as a surprise DVD to watch on our drive to WDW in a couple of days. Thanks for the heads up. I am sure that they are going to love it though. So there is going to be a new Leroy and stitch? HMM, I didn't know that.

My boys loved it!! Much better than many of the other straight to video Disney sequels we've seen!! I thought that was a different voice for Lilo, Stitch sounds a little off too. My favorite line "There's no harm in asking though!" and "She's goin' down!!"

great- thanks! I had just added it to my blockbuster queue- can't wait to get it!

My DS7 is a huge Stitch fan & he cried. My DD4 was sobbing. She loves animals & does not cry during Bambi. I do not know if it is because her brother is very attached to Stitich or what.

I like how both of the movies have a lot about family & traditions.

Kae

My 3 year old DD has watched it 4 times today. A hit with her.
